after installing I cannot see any difference from the original, very bright with great contrast.

Ever since i installed this product it worked intermittently. I would have the phone on and be using it and all of the sudden it would not respond to touch, it would not work at ALL. The only way it would respond back to touch is if the power went off and you restarted it, but you would never know how long it would last could be hours could be seconds. The only thing you did know is it would stop working again and fairly soon. the screen is garbage!. I tried to return to AMAZON, in fact i thought i did, i talked to someone in returns from AMAZON saying i wanted to return it, while it was within the return period. They said do not bother returning it, keep it and we will give your money back. By the time i chocked if my money was returned, the return period was over and i got nothing except a defective replacement screen. Now i had to buy another all over again. This is not the first time i have talked to AMAZON return people and they were less then truthful!

This comes with everything needed for a total screen replacement. Tools, adhesive, screen protector and a nifty little flash reader and writer. The flash device plugs into your old screen, reads the numbers and info out of it, then re-flashes (applies) those numbers to the replacement screen allowing it to work with TrueTone and other features that are tied to the phones internal serial number. Without this, I would imagine the phone would not function properly after replacing the screen. For under $20 USD, its a heck of a deal. Its the best screen replacement I have seen in years; for the price. I used a hair dryer to loosen the screen adhesive, took about 5 minutes to soften it enough so the included suction cup could pull up a corner and the other tools were able to pry out the defective screen. Be careful when removing the light sensor from the old screen as this part is re-used. There is a small metal retainer clip that must be pulled to remove the top sensor array and earpiece assembly. Take extra care on this step. Don't forget to attach the included adhesive BEFORE you reconnect all the cables. If you forget this step, cut a slit in the right side and the middle out of the adhesive sheet to apply (this is the mistake I made). I didn't bother disconnecting the battery, only making sure the phone was off.

I bought this kit to replace the screen of an iPhone 8 Plus, and honestly, it did the job well. The screen arrived well packaged, included a tempered glass protector, and installation went smoothly. The only downside is the toolkit — it works, but the tools feel cheap and fragile. ✅ Pros: Screen works fine and looks good Comes with tempered glass protector Great price (around $19 USD) ⚠️ Cons: Tools are basic and not very durable Recommended if you already have better tools or some repair experience.

The product was missing the waterproofing template used when replacing the screen. I was still able to replace the screen, but the phone is now no longer waterproof. The video instruction has the camera wire ribbon hidden by the disassembler's hands as he's removing it, and has a cut scene that shifts from starting to remove to removing the ribbon, so you can't see how he removed it. This is the most difficult part of the phone to disassemble during the screen replacement. It turns out the ribbon is glued to the case. I pried in the wrong spot and actually separated the earpiece portion of the ribbon, and now the earpiece doesn't work. Replacement cameras for this model are only $10. I would strongly recommend purchasing a replacement camera at the same time you buy the screen replacement kit, then just not worry about mangling the camera ribbon when you pull it out and use the new camera when re-assembling. Trust me, it will be a LOT less headache and aggravation. Also, be aware that the screws are very easy to strip out. Make sure the screw drivers are well seated before undoing any screws. The screen itself works just fine once you have it all together. Just be aware that you will be dealing with many small parts and fragile connectors. Getting it all put back together again can be difficult, especially snapping the ribbons back into their connectors. Just take it slow and easy, and practice your patience.

I cracked my screen and bought this as a solution instead of getting a new phone. The crack wasn't too bad and I could have lived with it, it was just annoying. I wish I wouldn't have tried to fix it myself. the instructions seemed very easy but there was a part that I messed up on because the instructions were not clear in that spot (the button). When I ended up putting it all back together with the new screen, my button wasn't working. not surprised since I had issues with that part. I went a couple days with the button not working and then decided to try again and see if I could fix the button. All I did was disconnect one of the parts and then reconnected it. When I went to use my screen it stopped working completely. No idea why because the part I was disconnecting was my button, not my screen. I could not figure it out, kept trying to troubleshoot, but no luck. Ended up having to get a new phone because I can't go without my phone (with having kids and all and I work from home. Even when the screen was working, it was not the same, it would glitch and the color was off. I would not recommend this to anyone. Oh and to mention, I worked in IT - so I am used to taking apart and putting computers together, and it still didn't work for me.

Do not buy this screen. I generally can’t be bothered to write reviews, I’ve left a handful of positive ones, but never negative. However, after hundreds of products purchased through Amazon over the years, this is the worst and I can’t help but provide some useful feedback to some would-be purchasers. To begin with, the screen adds extra bulk to the phone itself installed in. It adds thickness as it doesn’t sit flush like the OEM screen you’re replacing on the iPhone. That in itself it annoying, however, it gets worse from there. Aside from the phone overheating, battery drain is a huge concern experienced with this screen install. The battery would usually last all day, but a power bank is required as you can sit there and watch the percentage go down rapidly. Despite being described as an OLED display, colours are washed-out, the picture is no longer crisp, but the absolute worst part? The screen has a kind of its own.. it presses buttons at will and even sent a TikTok to someone I would really rather not talk to. Just do yourself a favour, and do NOT purchase this screen.

Really nice product however there is a clear plastic camera lens mount glued to the top of the screen and it was glued down so crooked so that the Face ID module wouldn’t line up with the screw holes and the screen wouldn’t close on the case. Fortunately we were able to break the glue bond on the mount without damaging the screen. Otherwise a very good product- just this one issue.

Contrary to advertisement this is NOT an OLED display. Scam!
