Helps a lot with wind noise but still able to hear intercom
I like these earplugs a lot. I’ve always used the foam type but two issues made me try something different; 1 the foam plugs can be time consuming to insert correctly, and 2 they block everything so I can’t hear my helmet speakers. The Alpine earplugs do a pretty good job of cutting wind noise, but still allow me to hear music in the background and make a phone call if necessary. They don’t hurt my ears, are easy to insert and remove, and the center stems don’t stick out and rub against my helmet lining. I use the “tour” type and they work well for me. I did notice I can hear the helmet speakers better in my Shoei helmet than my older Bell Star. The Bell has ton of vents and is not known as a quiet helmet, so no surprise there. I was impressed with the Alpine MotoSafe plugs enough that I ordered a second pair for backup and/or passenger use. I accidentally ordered the “race” type but I haven’t tried them yet to see how different they are. My daughter wore them for several hours on a ride with me and had no complaints. She could still hear her music and talk to me via bluetooth intercom. When I originally bought these, I also ordered a pair of Earos to try at the same time. They seemed to be good quality, and I tried them for a few minutes, but the Alpines just fit and worked better for me, so I returned the Earos. Someone else might have a different experience, everyone’s ears are different. I just rode about 4 hours today with the Alpine tour earplugs, no issues. Bike= 2001 Yamaha FZ1 with stock windscreen, Helmet= Shoei RF-SR Keep in mind these do not block as much sound as properly inserted foam earplugs. For <$20 though, they are worth a try.

Great for distance rides!
I bought these to replace my Loop ear plugs for riding. So far I’ve been beyond impressed for the price point. They seem to stay fully inserted into the ear even when a helmet rubs them. It’s not much of a decibel drop, but the wind cut while still being able to hear my coms is great. I’d recommend these to any rider.

Great Earplugs*
Function: 5 Stars. Great fitting ear plugs with an applicator to get good fitment. Wind noise is greatly reduced, while retaining good range for music and the engine. I am only docking a star because I received a malformed pair, with one having a seemingly half melted base on arrival. This did not affect function, but is disappointing nonetheless.

Work well to cut wind noise yet still allow intercom use
I ride an adventure bike with shorty windscreen, not a full fairing. So a fair amount of wind noise. I had a different pair of ear plugs, I purchased these Alpine Motosafe units as they were a bit cheaper and I wanted to keep a spare set in my tank bag. I just used them for the first time. Great wind noise reduction, and better sound transmission for the music and phone/intercom than the other pair. This might be simply a different dB noise reduction amount per spec, I don't know. But I found these to do exactly what I want, better than my other plugs. As for comfort, you need to push these types of plugs well into your ear. True of any of this type of ear plug. This pair has little sticks that make it easier to grab for removal. Worked well. I was a little nervous those little sticks would touch the speakers installed inside my helmet and hurt. Didn't happen, all worked great. A very nice pair of earplugs. I highly recommend them. They have become my "go-to" pair.

Perfect
You don't need a better intercom or bigger speakers in your helmet. You just need the right earplugs. The 33db reduction foamies I was using kept all the sound and noise out. Very effective but they are best suited for the woodshop or the gun range. For riding, these Alpine earplugs keep the wind and road noise out and allow you to use your helmet speakers without blowing them out on full volume. The Tour and Race versions allow you to select how much of the world you want to take in. Wish I had found these sooner.

Moderate performance
Just arrived today and I immediately got on the motorcycle for a test. I noticed definite improvement on wind noise and was able to still enjoy music from the helmet sound system. But I still noted the whine of the wind through the fairings on the BMW GS series. To be fair, the BMWs are notorious for this and I cannot expect the ear plugs to solve this. I would rate these as moderate performance - they provided noise reduction for the price.

Don't waste your money or time
Please do not buy these, they are the worst earplugs I've ever used and I've owned pretty much all of them in an attempt to reduce motorcycle wind noise. These fall somewhere between nothing at all, and wadded up straw wrappers jammed in your ears. There is no filter in these at all, they are just silicone plugs with a hole in the middle. They do not reduce any noise whatsoever when inserted which I found particularly odd for such a popularly reviewed item. They easily fall out when pulling on a full face helmet. They give you the feeling of having your fingers in your ears while still hearing every single minute detail with no reduction in volume at all. I guess they should be applauded for that bit of magic. And they do not allow returns if not satisfied unless you pay to send them back. They are dangerous to market to motorcycle riders for wind noise reduction, so stay away. I've had much better success with eargasm, etymotic, and even other cheaper generic silicone concert plugs with filters, (and even wadded up paper).

They work, but getting them in or out is a problem!
I can't give a one star review because they do work at lessening the buffeting noise inside a full-face helmet, and they are comfortable when inserted. The cons outweigh the pros, though, hence the 2 star review. It is very difficult to get them properly placed without using the (provided) tool. It should never be necessary to keep track of an insertion tool with any earplug. The worst part is that, once completely inserted so the noise reduction is effective, and no matter what side of your ear you place the little removal tab on, it is hell getting these things back out of your ear without some sort of tweezers or tool (I had to use a set of mini-needle nose pliers to reach them every time). That's a no-go, even worse than having to have a tool to put them in. So, as I don't believe these can/should be returned because I put them into my ears and wouldn't want to take the chance someone else might get a set of "pre-worn" ear plugs, I'll have to eat the cost and put them aside for last-resort ear plugs. An expensive lesson, but it is what it is. There are so many better and easier to use options out there. I don't recommend these.

Amazing product.
I bought these to replace the ones I lost. I have been using these products for a while now 1.5yrs. They reduce wind noise effective and still able to hear imporant noises/sounds on the road e.g. ambulance/police sirens, care horns and other noises on the road. I am able to hear people speak enough to have a conversation with. I highly recommond these. I would buy the pack that come with two types (red and black ear plug).

Utilizzando questi tappi ho risolto tutti i miei problemi. Preferisco i Race.
