I have had many pillows recently as I try to find something that works for me. I have mostly been a side sleeper but lately have wanted to start working on back sleeping to improve my neck alignment. This effort got put on super rush recently when I got injured with two cervical TP fractures and a disc bulge that partially pinched the nerve to my left arm. Suddenly sleeping was nearly impossible because of the pain and none of my crazy pillows (wife's term) put my neck in a neutral enough position to where i could sleep without also causing pain by pressuring the fracture areas. The benefit of all my prior pillow experiments is that i had a pretty good idea of the features i needed in a pillow, i just didnt have one pillow that combined them all. After doom scrolling amazon's results for 'cervical pillow' for what seemed like hours, i came up on this little guy. Seemed simple enough and appeared to have the major features i wanted. Made of a memory foam that was supportive but also had some give so it wouldnt hurt my TP fracture spots. The high part was squared off enough to provide immediate neck aupport when i have my shoulders up against it. A small crevice spot to help cradle the neck. The tapering off of the head suppprt is just right to create that slight traction effect on the neck. And this is easy to stack on top of something if more height is needed (another flat pillow, a folded towel, etc...). Anyways, after 2 weeks of using this now it was a gold strike. I got immediate relief from my injury pain and was able to finally sleep through the night. The pillow is comfortable enough and shaped right so there are no hot spots after laying in the same position for hours and it puts no pressure on my fractures so no pain there. Because of the firmness i am also able to side sleep without pain. Although for the first time ever i am finding that i spend the vast majorty of the night sleeping on my back and not moving at all. This has been a huge win for me and at such relatively low cost. I am very glad i bought this and will be using it long after my injuries heal because of how well it maintains neck alignment and how comfortable it is. I am very glad i tried this!

I am sharing my detailed review because I realized (the hard way) that getting good quality sleep at night is such an important thing. Unfortunately, many people may not even realize that some of their health issues, high irritability, or low energy/willpower are due to the poor quality of their sleep (even if they are sleeping for enough duration). After several trial and error attempts (sleep tracking for over a year), I figured out that my frequent morning headache was either due to snoring or due to sleeping on my tummy and twisting my neck throughout the night. To avoid twisting my neck, I trained myself to sleep on my back. However, it made my snoring worse. Turns out, sleeping on the back is known to make snoring worse. At the same time, sleeping on my back felt really good for my body, especially for my neck. Then, I figure out that snoring becomes worse because of using traditional pillows. These traditional pillows lift our heads too high, causing the critical air passage to constrict, and that triggers or worsens snoring. I tried different head positions and figured out the head-neck alignment that caused the least constriction for airflow. This ideal head-neck alignment was when my chin is slightly upwards (i.e. pushing my head backward), causing my throat to sorta open up, thus avoiding the collapse of the critical airway. I just couldn't understand how a traditional pillow would achieve this. So, I searched for a wedge-shaped pillow that can achieve the posture I was looking for. To my surprise, there weren't many wedge-shaped pillows. Almost all were those brick-like orthopedic pillows (I tried these types first. IMO, these are worse than traditional pillows. These are uncomfortable and make things worse). Finally, I found this magical pillow. There were reviews, photos, and videos that showed that this pillow is soft, but not too soft to not give enough support. The fabric also looked comfortable. So, I decided to give this a try. Bingo! my theory worked and this turned out to be one of my best purchases that literally improved the quality of my life. I have been using this pillow every night for the last two months. It solved my morning headache problem. Now, I sleep well and wake up with lots of energy and motivation. I have been tracking my sleep quality using a tracker, but I don't even have to check the results because I know from my direct experience that I sleep well at night. I also noticed that if my sleep quality is less, I just don't need to sleep for too long. Some additional notes. Even though I try to sleep on my back, towards the last stages of sleep, there is a strong urge to sleep on my tummy. Even in that case, I found this pillow to be comfortable for tummy sleeping. Ideally, just to change positions, I am trying to sleep on my side instead of my tummy. For side sleeping, this is perfect.

My chiropractor recommended traction to help my neck regain its curvature, so I decided to try this pillow and see if it helped provide better sleep and pain relief. My previous neck support pillows were $40+ each and only lasted for a few months while not providing much comfort or support. This pillow though has been a different story! I was quite skeptical when I saw it and unfolded it from the vacuum packed bag, and thought maybe this was a waste of money. The pillow looks pretty sad initially, but then plumps up. A few hours later at bedtime, I tried it out and it was bliss. It takes a little bit of adjustment to get the pillow in the right spot so that it's supporting my neck and not elevating my head... but once it's in place, it's amazing! The one thing I dislike is that it has a faint chemical odor. I know most foam pillows have a smell but hopefully that will dissipate over time. It gives exactly the support I need to sleep well, on my back or my side! I was very pleasantly surprised and glad for my initial reaction to be proven wrong. Edit 3.28.2023: The odor quickly dissipated. This pillow has been wonderful! It packed easily in my suitcase over the holidays. Still going strong 3 months later. I would highly recommend this pillow - and even better, regular chiropractic and this pillow! When I was doing that, almost zero pain. I've missed my last few chiro appts and can tell because my pillow isn't as comfy - but that's my neck, not the product!

I have had my neck pillow for several months now. This has been the best pillow to handle the neck pain I have when laying down. I just found out this week that my neck pain I have been having is from 4 herniated disc in my neck. I’m bummed out about the news. But this pillow has been a lifesaver for my sleep. Thank you to the makers of this pillow. The foam that it is made out of is definitely not some cheap foam. It has the right amount of firmness to it. My neck squishes it some but leaves that right amount space needed to take off the pressure in my neck so that my head can rest. Like if you ever had a pillow and you need some of that pillow to feel like it’s really going to fill in your neck so that your head can rest on it so that neck pain can go away but it doesn’t. Then this is the perfect pillow. It stays it shape and has not lost any of it’s strength due to wear and tare of using it. I’ve had this for several months and it is going strong. Sometimes I need it for my back pain as well. I’m a side sleeper so the wedge shape that it has you put the wedge in your back and if your back leans into it some it feels good because that pressure is taken off without losing it’s strength while still being soft. I should also mention that no matter what side you sleep on my neck feels sooo good. Buy this pillow right now. DO NOT LOOK AT ANYMORE OF THE THOUSANDS OF NECK PILLOWS. THIS IS IT. I have tried others and unfortunately had to return before a week is up. I’m in love! If you are a back sleeper, you can as well put it right where you hurt to take some of that pressure off as well.

First, did not arrive on time. Not a big deal, except, I had already canceled it, and, it came a few days later, anyway. Wearimg a lable that said "overnight shipping" . When tracking delivery, the delay reason was wet weather. If you are ordering items and counting on delivery as stated, because . . . 1. You won't be home, 2. You are trying to beat bad weather. 3. You are an impulse buyer who needs delivery before common sense kicks in. 4. You need delivery before your husband gets home. . . .then, you will not be happy with the delay in "overnight delivery". It arrived in a box. Top of box covered with tape lable that stated that the item was unsellable if the tape had bern broken. I mention that because the bottom of the box was not taped the same way, and, it was a folded pull out flaps type of bottom, meaning that anybody could have neatly opened and reclosed the box. As far as product expectations go, it DID NOT meet my expectations and purchase reason based upon the pictures or description on Amazon. I was looking for a pillow that had an indentation for the back of your head to sit into, so that your head was in a "zero gravity" neutral position. The picture made it look like the person's neck was neatly cradled and the head was nicely supported and NOT being pushed upward. . . .which pushes your chin toward your chest. That isn't the case AT ALL. The neck indentation is barely an indentation. Your neck isn't going to be supported in a little cradle spot. Your head is NOT going to be neutral at all as there isn't any design for that. It's a pillow. It's foam. It's covered. It's not a plush, soft cover. It a soft cover with a rather abrasive/irritating pattern. It's not goi ng to do what I want as a back sleeper. It DID work as a bed pillow in the electric bed while in the "sitting upright position" to crochet, comfortably. I would not recommend this product if you are buying it because you are hoping for a pain free might with your head supported, your neck not pushing your chin toward your chest, or, an open airway with your neck cradled.

The product packaging was done with great care to include a short instructional sheet along with a "Thank you card" for choosing their product. Holding the product in my hands to examine it I was immediately impressed with it's high quality- specifically the strong product material used and professional crafting. I have been a side-sleeper all my life and this past year I started to regularly wake up with terrible neck and shoulder pain. I bought different pillows but they offered no relief. I started to educate myself and learned that the cervical spine needs to be supported throughout the night whatever position you're in. That as you get older the poor body alignment and strain from a non-supportive pillow becomes worse and actually can cause long term problems. The second night I slept on this cervical neck pillow I literally woke up with NO NECK OR SHOULDER PAIN AT ALL !!! I am absolutely thrilled at how quickly my body responded to such a simple solution. Update: After a while I started to notice I was getting a lot of tension headaches. It was too hard to stay centered perfectly and the sides are high enough to put your neck in uncomfortable positions. I deal with a lot of pain and discomfort when at rest in bed, so I started to use this pillow under my knees and sometimes right under my butt- that felt really good and took a lot of pressure off my joints. I decided to use the pillow for that only but then purchased another in hopes the first one was a one-off fluke. The neck pain and headaches quickly resumed. One night, I accidentally flipped the pillow the wrong way and it felt amazing. So now, I can sleep with this pillow again and even sit up in bed. Basically you have to use it upside down. This keeps my head centered and also is way more comfortable on my neck for extended periods of time. This may not work for all but if you’re finding the original orientation too stressful on your neck use it the other way, like a wedge from the top of your shoulders- much better! I had my doubts as it’s not much material but this little pillow made my night very comfortable. An underrated thing about this pillow- its small size and light composition allows me to feel the vibrations in my massage bed. My other cervical neck pillow was bulky and made it hard to reposition with my adjustable bed. It also blocked any vibration from the massages. This little pillow felt like an extension of my mattress and allowed me to not only sit comfortably with no pain, but actually enjoy the massage as well. I have not slept on it yet but I am excited to based on how much more comfortable it is just sitting in bed. It cradles your neck just right and does not push you into awkward angles. I also did not find it too lax. It’s just the right amount of give and support, and I have a very picky neck lol. I will update with my experience sleeping with this later. Update: This really works well! The first night’s sleep was awkward because it is very easy to get unaligned with the dip for the neck to be cradled. That’s my only criticism- the area should be more defined than it is. If you stray from the center at all it will cause more neck pain. Once I got used to staying centered on the pillow it was great. I had to get used to waking up without a trace of pain or tightness in my neck and shoulders. That’s an amazing feeling!

I really love memory foam pillows and how they spread out the support they provide without creating pressure points. But like all pillows, I'd found that they raise your head a little too high and tilt your head forward when you sleep on your back partially closing your airways. This is one of the reasons I slept on my side so that the side of my head was better supported but then you are laying on your arm. This pillow perfectly provides support for your neck and the back of your head while keeping your neck straight and relaxed and your airways open. Really great product.

This pillow is not deep enough - only 9", keep slipping! It should be the same depth as the width! Basic covered foam! I paid A$69.69 - expensive! Not happy!
