The Outdoor Cook: How to Cook Anything Outside Using Your Grill [America's Test Kitchen] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Outdoor Cook: How to Cook Anything Outside Using Your Grill Review: Very detailed and full of recipes you actually want to make. - I have to say I'm very impressed with this cookbook on the whole. I feel like most cookbooks are just regurgitating the same old recipes over and over to pad the width but didn't get that here. It's reasonably sized but nearly each recipe is something fairly simple yet delicious. It's like a comfort food book for outdoor cooking. I love that it has the explanations for the different grill types for each recipe and the pictures for each dish are wonderful! Review: For the Grill Enthusiasts - This is a beauty of a cookbook full of wonderful recipes for the grill and outdoors. Fantastic recipes and great instructions. Indispensable for grilling

Wonderful ideas for summer cooking
I love this cookbook. We cook a lot of America’s test kitchen recipes and this is a great addition to our collection. Wonderful the way it gives you options on how to cook whether you’re using a gas grill or charcoal grill or a smoker.

Finally, an outdoor cookbook that wasn't made only for cavemen
Almost all grilling cookbooks have recipes for big thick slabs of meat with only a small mention of something other than baked potatoes. I love meat, but I also love variety. This cookbook has great-sounding snacks like smoked nachos, and dinners like smoked bourbon chicken, grilled pork loin with apple-cranberry filling, or Cuban-style pork with mojo. Of course, it has a few different recipes for barbecue sauces and some for cooking ribs. And unlike other grilling cookbooks that assume you have endless hours to cook, this on has a section called, "5 Meals in Under 45 minutes." Plus, there are even recipes for charred pineapple margaritas or smoky peach sangria to enjoy after dinner. A nice touch: Most of the recipes have variations on cooking them using charcoal, gas, a smoker, or other kinds of outdoor cookers so that you can use whatever you have. And because it's from America's Test Kitchen, even a klutz like me can follow the detailed but simple instructions and end up with delicious results. The only problem is with the Kindle version. There aren't enough photos of how to prepare things. It's almost all text.

Great Reference Manual
Book demystifies the outdoor cooking process. Well organized with keys to success. Would be an ideal gift to someone just starting out cooking outdoors as well as experienced persons.

Gas Grills, Charcoal, Flat-Tops and Smokers
America’s Test Kitchen does it again, another great cookbook! This one provides instructions for outdoor cooking, including charcoal grills, gas grills, open fire and fire pits, smokers and flat top grills. The book starts out with the use, care and cleaning of the above listed grills and the tools and equipment needed to cook on them. Next come the cooking instructions. Chapters include: Snacks and small plates, Both hands needed (burgers, sandwiches, tacos); Weeknight dinners; Weekend gatherings; over an open fire; Grilled breads (includes flatbreads and pizza); Don’t forget dessert. Nutritional information for all recipes is in a chart in the back. This is a paper back book, but the pages are all thick and glossy with beautiful photos. I highly recommend this to anyone who cooks outdoors on a grill or other equipment.

Okay Outdoor Cookbook
I was hoping for more interesting recipes and with a lot of more varied ways of cooking them on the grill and smoker. It was just okay. Not worth the price. It seems America's Test Kitchen regurgitates a lot of recipes that you see in their magazines into cookbooks.

Great recipes!
I found a lot of good recipes ! I have bought many other books for grilling from other companies! This is my absolute favorite my family loves everything I’ve grilled ‘till this day ! The book’s construction is well made ! Pages are intact after many uses! I got a Master Grill Smoker and I have to adapt every recipe for that grill and even though everything comes out great!
