COMFORTABLE AND WARM
GOOD: Very comfortable, pleasant and warm. The size is good. I have a large head and this hat is not tight. The hole in front can easily be moved to let the nose and mouth go out of it with the eyes without making it tight. One thing not really shown is that the length of it is LONG! This hat completely covers my head, neck and down even a couple of inches to my cheat to block wind. The material is Thinsulate which I have used before and it is lightweight and warm. The hat can be rolled up to wear like a Navy watch cap. The hat is lined inside with a low nap fleece material which makes this a double cloth with inner and outer layer. and that feels pleasant. It is very warm and good quality. Washes well in machine and does not shrink (synthetic). BAD: The Thinsulate is woven, like a sweater with thick yarn, loosely knit or woven together with large spaces between the yarn. This makes it stretchy and comfortable BUT, if it comes into contact with a branch or bush then, it snags the yarn and pulls it to break in half - the yarn rips extremely easily! One cannot really avoid these rips, so, caution for hunter, hikers or campers with a forest environment around them. However, be aware that a few small, ripped, pieces of yarn do not invalidate the heat of this item because it is lined in fabric, but it will not appear as attractive (if that matters in public).

My husband used this several times while shoveling snow. He had not issues or complaints.
