JACO TRX-50 Heavy Duty Tire Repair Kit - Universal Tire Plug Kit

i got this in case of emergencies , havent had to use it but seem good quality. They give you extra hooks for plug instalment tool which is nice as some of the cheaper ones bend n break after first use , but seem like a good deal.

Pros: It worked well and sealed the screw hole in my new tire. It comes with all the tools lubricant and patches that you will need Tools are very strong and well made. The case is good and fits all the tools in. It is very straight forward to use. Great to use it combined with a portable air pump on the road Cons: It takes a lot of strength and effort to enlarge the hole, insert the plugs, and pull the insertion needle out.

I bought this kit for a tire on my car that had a piece of medal stuck threw the tread as the tire has a good bit of tread left to it and the hole is with in reason. I'm not a big fan of patch tires that really should just be replaced other than to get home or get by for a very short time. In this case thou given the condition of the tire it would have just been wasteful not to fix it. I will tell you that best practice is to take a radial tire off the rim and patch it from the inside. However a plug will work perfectly fine in some cases and be safe in other cases it might just be good enough to get you home or by for a short while. Now lets take about the kit. This kit is worth every penny and is of fairly good quality. Almost as good as the pro ones from back in the day! The kit works well I highly recommend this kit for it quality and price! It's not just a cheap throw away kit. While this is not the ultimate high end kit you can count on it to get the job done! I say it's upper midlevel kit if you know what I mean.

I always had those cheap tire plug kits but I needed something more durable that I can put in one little case so I started looking on Amazon and that's when I found this item it's pretty good little item I've used it a couple times already and they're working fine only thing about it is is missing one of the tools that rough up the holes will you actually pull a nail or a screw out of a tire and kind of like roughs up the whole before you insert the new plugs to plug it up but other than that it's pretty fine I just kept my old one from my old kit so it's all inside my toolbox.

I had a Slime brand repair kit that I used for years. It never worked all that well, but near the end, it was horrid and difficult to repair a tire with. I usually had to drill a hole at the puncture site to enlarge it so I could insert the plug, and also had to let all the air out of the tire. After purchasing the Jaco TRX-50, I kind of expected the same. Be advised to watch the video first before using it. I was floored by how well this worked. No deflating the tire, and the sliding collar keeps the plug from coming back out when you withdraw the insertion tool. I highly recommend buying

Great item everything you need

I had a nail in a 255/50/20 Pirelli with lots of tread left. My older plug kit just could not give me the leverage and power I needed to get the hole reamed and get the plug inserted and set. This one is way bigger and beefy, solidly built, strong. The reamer in particular has a twisted shaft to really help you get in there with ease. Kit includes extra plugs and everything you’d need for many repairs, nice pro-looking hard carry case. I’m happy.

Must have it to be self reliant , to fix flats on the go
