This BR30 LED bulb is a fantastic addition to any smart home. It provides brilliant brightness and a stylish look that enhances any room. Although there a bit on the expensive side,the color, the quality, brightness, and dimming capabilities make it worth the investment. It’s a reliable, has great connection and worked great. I have them in my kitchen and on my porch so that they’re not an outdoor light. They do work great outside as long as they’re covered. They are a high-quality Hue product that will definitely elevate your smart lighting experience for years to come.

Hue bulbs are over-engineered so they WILL last a lifetime! Color is good, easy to control with either the Hue app, Alexia, Apple Homekit -- anyway you want to control them. They will work directly with many Amazon Echo models, but they work best with a Hue hub, so that's the route I would go. With the Hue hub as the interface, you can create all sorts of "scenes" that can be accessed with virtually any other smart home system such as Hubitat, Apple Home, Alexa, Google home, etc. They do last ... I have never had a Hue bulb burn out ... I have Hue floods and regular color bulbs that run over 15 hours a day every day and never a problem, they don't get hot either like the cheap bulbs do (and that's what kills them over time). You won't be disappointed with these.

I buy these all the time. I am converting more of my house to a smart system all the time, including automations. These bulbs are great because I can not only control on and off, but set different themes when I want (like lower light or a color when I am watching TV at night). My whole house ecosystem is based on Hue lightbulbs.

I enjoy using the hue lights because with certain apps it’s like you can have a colorful party. I think this is my favorite lightbulb. They are expensive, but the other brands need to be reprogrammed every time the electricity goes out. I would prefer not to go through the hassle every time so for me it saves me time in having to reprogram and it’s a good value for the money.

I gave this as a gift after I experienced how this lighting can change your home so easily. I am not a techie person but so enjoyed what I could do I gave it to my engineer son. He loves it. Did I need it? No. But I am very happy to have it.

I am a big fan of the Hue environments! I used these lights to update the living room and dining room lights. They are connected to a Hue bridge so they can react to a number of different settings! Note that if you have a mesh network (2.4 and 5 ghz), you may need to temporarily disable the 5ghz network to get everything paired up. Once the setup is complete, you can re-enable the 5g network and everything works great!

Hue is the most expensive option on the smart home market for a reason. I have tried dozens of other brands for connecting my home through Apple HomeKit and none of them offer the consistency, responsiveness, and color precision of Hue. I buy other brands and end up regretting it and buying Hue every time.

I connected Bluetooth first in iOS app and did firmware update - not sure if was necessary. Was easy to add to zigbee2mqtt and can control in home assistant fine. I am using a Sonoff 3.0 P dongle for coordinator.
