I bought this mainly for the brown noise feature, and it has honestly helped me sleep better. I have always slept better with some kind of background noise instead of complete silence, and the lower, deeper tone of brown noise works much better for me than the sharper white noise sounds. The sound options are good, the volume range is wide enough to dial it in properly, and the memory function is more useful than it sounds because I do not have to reset everything every night. I also like having the timer options available depending on whether I want it running all night or just while falling asleep. The night light is a nice extra feature, especially since you can adjust the colors instead of being stuck with one harsh light setting. It works well on a nightstand, desk, or while traveling. For the price, I have been very happy with it. Good sound machine, easy to use, and it has noticeably improved my sleep quality. That alone makes it worth it.

We live in an apartment and sometimes you just get tired of hearing neighbors. The brown noise setting on this sounds like a bathtub filling with water. Reminds me of my childhood! I find it very calming and it helps drown out (no pun intended) the neighbors, especially when they are up much later than us! Love how small it is and it easily fits in our bag when we travel, too. I like the option to change the color of the light and there are a TON of sounds. Some I would not choose for relaxing (like a heartbeat... reminds me of haunted houses at Halloween), but I think that everyone could find a sound on it that soothes them!

There are a few days a week where I am gone for 12-14 hours which leaves my dog alone in an empty, quiet house. Read somewhere that music/sounds help dogs feel less lonely and anxious however my dog did not like music (she always left the room it was playing in) but really enjoyed white noise or ocean sounds. For a while I was using my laptop to play them for her but it was a little annoying finding videos that didn't have ads or would play for long enough that it wouldn't stop or play another video. So I bought this! I love that there are so many sound options, I have used it a few times for myself when my neighbors are being loud. There are two different ocean options, bubbling streams, rain, and fan noises, all of which my dog has enjoyed. I imagine this would work great for children as there are lullaby and heartbeat options too, or for the adult that cannot stand a silent house at night (me). It calms my dog almost as soon as I leave in the morning and she comfortable sleeping for long stretches of time. It being a plug in eliminates the worry of it dying. It is smaller than I expected (which I actually like) but the sound can be quite loud if you turn it all the way up.

The sound machine works as advertised and has a good selection of different sounds you can choose from. However the speaker quality is not that good and really has no base tone so the sounds have a tendency to sound artificial or of higher notes than I expected. Now that said, it still does a lot for the money and overall, I am pleased with it.

The company's name is Brown Noise (love the name) and this is a white noise machine. There are 30 soothing noises. My favorite is the rain with distant thunder. It puts me to sleep so fast. The color glow at the bottom makes for a wonderful nightlight. Many colors to choose from. I prefer the dark red or blue. Volume control and a 1,2,3,4 hour timer for auto-off. Best of all is that all the settings you choose are memorized for the next time you turn on the white noise machine! So pleased with this!!!

This was the best purchase ever. It tunes out noise really well. I live with loud and rowdy teenagers — once I put this on I hear nothing! Life saver. It’s very calming too. I love that it has a variety of sounds, you can customize the volume and set a timer or keep it on indefinitely. Must buy!

I bought this for my husband and he really likes it. It's easy to use, lots of sound choices and easy volume control. It has a light as well which even when switched off there is a glow from the top of the machine but not anything that would keep you awake. It's smaller than I thought but that makes it very portable. I like that it runs off the mains and not battery.

When my mom was in the hospital, this was a gem! So much so, Nurses asked her where she got it. She has to keep the door open to a busy hallway which meant she couldn’t sleep long without waking. I put this under her bed on brown noise. Viola! She slept well. She also liked the coloured lights and wave sounds. It’s compact but works great. Also, can set the timer or keep it going without stopping. It can also be put up loud or quiet.
