This amazing tool helped me when I couldn't find anyone in the area to terminate Ethernet cables. This little kit came with everything you need to do it yourself. The instructions are clear and it was easy, even though I had never done it before. If you're new to this, like I was, grab an old cable and practice on it. Tester worked great also.

Really useful for when you’re installing ethernet at home, or just making an RJ45 cable. The RJ45 connectors it includes are pass-through, so crimping is easy and not a pain. The cut/crimp also comes out nice and perfect, haven’t made any major errors yet. It also includes other useful tools like a cable cutter, and a wire tester (although I haven’t used it yet since I lack the batteries it needs).

The tester was not working by the first delivery, but after return and sending me another one, it was all ok.

First time doing Ethernet cables; no prior experience or training here. It was easy. Tips for first timers: 1. The end pieces it comes with are "push through", which means you're supposed to push the arranged wires through the clear clips a bit so you can easily see they went through in the right order. The crimping tool cut the wires perfectly flush. I tried to make them perfectly flush before crimping; don't waste your time: the tool does it right. 2. The direction the clip faces matters. I did mine all backwards first. Do one, test it and make sure it works, then do the others. It comes with a bunch of end things (don't know what they're called, tips, clips, wire protector rubber bits) so if you mess up, it's not problem, you've got plenty. It came with way more than I realized. I tossed it in my "box of random wires" and I'm pretty sure it will last a lifetime. Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all to me.

Tester and crimp tool are great but the connectors are garbage. The channels for the individual strands aren't there until the tip so the cables easily get mixed while pushing the cable into the connector. Just buy the tools seperstely and get better connectors.

Worked on first try. It comes with everything you need. Its important to know the wires are extremely delicate so be gentle and get the wires in correct position. Cut them short before sliding them into the connector. Simple and easier than trying to find someone to come do one small job.
