Ankle Cold Compression Wrap - Reusable Gel Pack and Ball Pump - Best Ice Wrap for Achilles Tendon, Foot Sprain.Sports Injuries.

I bought this ankle brace for my daughter who is both a competitive Scottish Highland Dancer and a sabre fencer. Additionally, she is accomplished in ballet. Over the years in her pursuit of these interests, my daughter has developed chronic tendonitis in her right ankle. This information from this review is from her use of the product. First, she noted that the gel pack is cold without additional refrigeration, which is a great feature if one needs to use it during a sporting event. Additionally, she really liked the way that the compression stabilizes the ankle, preventing it from moving. Finally, she liked the fact that putting on the foot does not require stressing the foot in any way, since the once using the device places his/her foot onto the brace and then closes it up with velcro straps. My daughter did point out that this brace is not conducive to using with a shoe, due to its shape, but when one needs to keep the ankle immobile and cold, this is a great product.

I have used this several times per week for several years to ice my ankle after running to control an Achilles tendon injury. It is very convenient to use, comfortable, and effective (for me). Purchased a second after about three years - original was not damaged, just regular wear on the velcro tabs after so much use. A very convenient way to ice your ankle and foot if recommended medically to do so. The velcro straps and inflatable interior allow you to control the pressure and contact between the ice pack and your foot.

This is the best I have found to help with my fractured ankle, although not exactly perfect. Instructions for the boot would have been helpful and tips for best results. It's best to make sure the gel is smoothed out and distributed evenly in the gel pack before freezing and try to freeze it flat or it congregates in the bottom of the pack. Also if you need more of the cold on top of your foot as I do then this is not as helpful as most of the cold gel is on the bottom of the foot. It is nice to have the boot and it can be pumped with air to give more compression. Overall it has helped with my swelling but I need to remove the gel pack from the boot after a few minutes and place on top of my foot and around the sides if my ankle to relieve the swelling. Had it design been with Velcro attachment on the foot bed without the gel and had the cold gel portion wrapped around the top of the foot and more gel on the sides of the ankle this would have been a fantastic product. Also, moisture condensation occurs on the gel pack but it's not that much of a problem. Overall it's a good product, not great.

I’m a soccer player and I had an injury where I unfortunately completely tore the ligaments in my ankle. I’m a very restless person and me “resting” is near to impossible. This makes it even harder when trying to elevate and ice my ankle and adjusting my position and the ice pack hundreds of times before I give up. It’s three months after my injury and I’m still in chronic pain. Not only does this ice boot cover my ENTIRE ankle all around, the air pump helps hug my ankle and keeps the cold pack against my ankle. It feels secure and I can even walk across the room or to the kitchen without having to remove the ice pack or deal with having to readjust into a comfortable position when I go to lay back down. I can move around and the boot will still stay snug on my ankle and continue to do its job as far as icing my ankle. I feel like I’ve found a perfect fit and made a well-worth investment. This will DEFINITELY come in handy when I have to have surgery in the next couple months.

I have enjoyed using this foot wrap for the most part. It's a good size and covers my size 12w foot. The cold pack stays very cold for over half an hour is is great for foot pain. The only disappointment is the inflation bladder no longer stays inflated after only 4 uses. I only ever use this product with my feet propped up and never walk on or put any pressure on it. The inflation feature was great for getting a snug fit and folding the cold pack against all parts of my foot. It still works just fine as a cold boot so I intend to keep it & continue using it. Sure will miss that snug fit though.

Absolutely love this. I have active teens and they use it pretty regularly for sprains. Ice pack covers a lot of your ankle area and for certain areas that it does not, you can slip in a small ice pack in that area. The inflation is great and really holds the ice to the area. No need to wrap with an Ace bandage anymore. Customer service was also amazing. All around A+

I recently took a fall on my stairs in my home and purchased five or six different ice and compression products from Amazon. I cannot even explain how impressed I am with this product. It is truly ingenious and whoever thought of this and put it together should definitely be commended. I have to admit, I was disappointed to learn that it was made in China. However with that said, it is still a superior product. The product that I purchased had an issue with the compression after about six or seven days. There is a hose that comes out of the back of the brace as well as an on off switch that is it plastic white knob like device. I think it was just a simple fluke that this particular brace stopped compressing with air after about a weeks use. I did send it back and and placed an order for a new one immediately. They offer a 30 day guarantee which is very reasonable for this product. I’ve showed this product to several people in my family and friends and they certainly state that they will purchase this if they ever have a need for ice on the ankle or foot. One more point… I’ve never had an ice pack stay this cold so long that comes with this brace. Just wish it wasn’t made in China!

This was by far the best at holding its cold longer than most (overnight!) I read the warning about keeping something between your skin and the gel pack, but the last night of the week I was using it, I felt a very cold spot, but just pushed a sock in, thinking I had covered all my skin that was affected, but I missed a 3"x4" spot and still have an area that is almost "burned." My foot Dr hadn't seen that happen in 30 yrs, and didn't know that instructions are to keep something between your skin and the ice pack. I found I could wrap it in such a way that it covered my broken bone on the 5th metatarsal AND get it to go across to the inside ankle. The boot can be inflated to make a secure immobilizer, and I used it except for when I needed to put on the walking cat. Elevate & Ice. I can't say enough about how much that helped, and this was an "aid" I was happy to have found. It WAS an excellent Pain Soother for me!!
