Works great. Plug and play. Great Price.
This is a 1:1 plug and play replacement for the cable that originally came with most APC UPS units. This cable tells a PC to shutdown safely in case of a power outage. Plug the Ethernet end of the cable into the DATA port of the APC unit, and the USB end into the PC. Modern Windows operating systems will detect it immediately, and no additional software is needed. 6 ft is ok for most set ups where the battery backup is close to the PC, but you may need a longer cable for different applications.

Does not Work!!!
I tried this cable on an Apc Back-UPS Pro 1000 S and an APC BR1500 G using two different desktop computers. Neither computer could find or connect to either of the UPSs. I have one original cable. When using it both computers found and connected to both UPSs. Coclusion: This cable DOES NOT WORK!!!

Doesn't work at all
Doesn't work at all. I tried it on two different models of APC Smart-UPS and tried with both Linux and Windows. None of them detected the cable at all. It was totally defective and not worth a single cent.
