EPIC Snack Strips, Venison Beef Sea Salt Pepper, Keto and Paleo Friendly, 0.8 oz, 10 ct

Good flavor. Very well sealed individual strips. A bit peppery for my taste but that could be a bonus if you like a lot of black pepper. Not too tough or too dry. You definitely need something to drink it with. Excellent snack with a drink.

When these are fresh they are great. Unfortunately you can tell these were either stale or not stored properly. They were very dry and hard compared to the ones I buy at the store that are moist and softer textured.

So I started ordering the bison and boar bars a while ago and loved them so I was expecting the texture it has which is I suppose the only plus. Let me say I really love black pepper. I put so much in my food it ends up mostly black so.. I'm a pepper fan. This has so much effing pepper in it that I was sweating through my hair. It is an overbearing, disturbingly pure peppery flavor that left me uncomfortably moist and regretful. It suggests that there is more sea salt than pepper in the ingredient line up but I don't see how that can possibly be the case. The salt exists but is only there to be body slammed by pepper. so purchase at your own risk. We're speculating that it says the other meat is beef but it's probably that Spice Weasel from Futurama. If you want to know what the jerky version of Spice Weasel would taste like, go for it. But I'm not going to be ordering these again. I can't rate the flavor lower than a four because that's uh.... That's the flavor I purchased so they did it but it's kind of a nightmare. There is apparently such a thing as too much pepper.

Nothing about this was appealing. I bought the venison and the wagyu beef. I did eat one stick of the venison because I was hungry and had nothing else with me. I got as far as opening the wagyu beef but one smell of it, and threw it in the garbage. It had a wet greasy appearance. The venison is coated in fat and left a soapy residue in my mouth. The taste of the meat was not good enough to deal with the fatty residue left over. The wagyu beef, I don't know, I just couldn't. I really had high expectations for this but just could not keep it in my pantry. Threw them both away after contacting the company and they are "unable" to give a refund. They offered a replacement. No thanks, leave the meat on the hoof as far as I'm concerned. The company thought maybe it was processing issue but I am not willing to let another animal die just so I could be disappointed again. I will stick to Ostrim! Purchase EPIC snacks with caution. Might just be my palate but I'm usually the person to like the weird stuff.

It's my fault I didn't see that it's cut with beef and not pure venison like I was looking for. Other than that, it's greasy/oily and lacking in natural meat flavor, like something out of a vending machine. I couldn't stand more than two nibbles. I can't even feed them to my dog because they're so oily he'd end up crapping all over the house. Straight to the garbage they go.
