ClearClick Video to Digital Converter 3.0 (Third Generation) - Record Video & Audio from VCR's, VHS, AV, RCA, Hi8, Camcorder, DVD, Turntables, Cassette Tapes

I have been worrying about losing precious memories of my children growing up and lost loved ones stored on miniDV tapes for some years now. I have tried a few video to PC transfer cables, none of which seemed to work, so I had assumed I would have to send the tapes off to be copied into digital format at great expense or risk losing them. I then saw this device which had good reviews and decided to invest it. I have not been disappointed. Although quite expensive it has saved me even greater expense and a lot of time and worry. It is very easy to set up and use and worked perfectly first time. I copied my tapes onto a USB drive which then allowed for easy transfer to PC and multiple backup drives. Highly recommended.

Took a little while to master the settings etc but once going I rattled through around dumping 100 VHS and Digital 8 tapes at 720p (max) Not inexpensive but did the job well without any hitches. Got all my tapes onto a 64gb micro SD which is much smaller storage than 100 tapes. Some of the operations have interesting options like when you turn off - it pops up a Yes / Cancel option with the default being Cancel. This is odd as you have to hold the power button for 5 sec to get it to pop up - why would the default them be to cancel ? Having said all that - would I recommend - YES

Very easy to use. The only disadvantage is that it saves as mp4 files only. Other file extension options would have made this product perfect. Good picture quality (although this depends on the source VHS tape), good size and value for money. Saving directly to USB stick or memory card, means that the video files can be played on most modern tv’s from these memory devices. DVD burning capabilities are needed to transfer files onto DVD (make sure your software can accommodate mp4). However, a highly recommended product.

It gives a good transfer picture quality from VHS/S-VHS to MP4 format, but NO better,which is what its designed for. This is not an upscaler as it converts and transfers only what is there as far as picture quality is concerned. It is an essential tool for keeping the contents of those old VHS/S-VHS Video tapes, which is what I use it for, and I can thoroughly recommend it.

I bought this to capture old VHS Video 8 into a digital format. It's super easy to use and you can capture directly to MicroSD or USB2. Recording starts and stops at the click of a button and the video out file is MP4. You can monitor the video as it records on the build in screen and the handy volume control allows you to do so without audio if you would prefer. The device comes with RCA cables and a USB charger. I found on a full charge that I could capture several hours of video, which was a pleasant surprise. After recording you can review and playback the video directly on the device. The captured video quality will not be worse than the analogue source it captures so that's a plus. I did use third party software to enhance the picture afterwards in order to upscale to HD and enhance the deterioration that occurred over the past 30 years, but of course this won't be necessary for all users. This device may not be cheap but it saved me so much time and effort that it definitely justifies the price. One thing I would point out is that the instructions included mention that only one hour of video recording is possible without a firmware upgrade, that requires contacting the manufacturer. I managed to record 90+ minutes from some tapes without any upgrades or issues.

I bought this unit to convert my old Video Holliday tapes into a digital format so when I switched it on a blue screen lit up followed by a pink bar travelling down wards to the bottom, after connecting it to my video camera I tried to play the recorded file “ cannot play file “so I tried downloading the file onto a dongle “cannot save file” , after five days struggling that’s as far as I got . But if you have a thing with colours it does have a Nice blue screen every time you turn it on together with a shocking pink line that travels to the bottom of the screen “ Mesmerising “ “TAXI”

Great for copying home made videos from vhs to digital

I have hundreds of videos taking up so much space, so decided to risk buying this, I am absolutely thrilled with it. Copies them so easily I have even managed to set the timer so I don’t have to stand around waiting. The only thing to note is you need all three colour jacks at the back of your video. I have quite a few recorders (as my son is autistic so I needed backups), but most of them only had two of the colours required at the back

He probado varios conversores para digitalizar cintas de v8 desde mi cámara de video analógica y este es el único que me ha funcionado bien , con buena calidad de imagen y de fácil manejo, lo recomiendo , estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.

Si, comme moi, vous possédez de vieilles bandes vidéos SECAM, que vous avez encore chez vous un magnétoscope pour les lire et que vous voulez les transformer en fichier MP4, alors cet appareil est fait pour vous ! Il est très facile à brancher et d’utilisation simple, il suffit de connecter cet appareil sur votre magnétoscope, de glisser une carte mémoire dans la fente prévue à cet effet, de démarrer la lecture de la k7 vidéo et d’appuyer sur le bouton enregistrement du boîtier et y a plus qu’à regarder ! Pas besoin d’ordinateur ou de boîtier autre que cet appareil. C’est une invention technologique géniale !

SCAM. The WORST product i have ever used to digitalize tapes. The product is a CHEAP and they sell like something good. With a 10 euro of usb dongle you capture far wzy better than this poece of trash. It really sucks, i never imagined it could be that bad for that price. Beware of ClearClick!!! They are more click than clear.
