The product works really well and I am happy with my purchase. Our backyard is FULL of mosquitos, dozens of them that swarm you when you go outside. I purchased natural bug spray, completely ineffective. Long sleeves and pants also did not work as they will bite any uncovered area of skin, even through your clothes! Then I tried OFF bug spray which slightly helped but the mosquitos still swarmed me, flying everywhere. I almost gave up entirely on using our yard this summer until I tried this product. It’s easy to charge and use. I notice an incredible difference in the number of mosquitos flying around me when this thing is on.

My husband searched multiple reviews and spoke to multiple outdoor friends of his and everyone told him that this was the brand to purchase. It works great and supposedly covers around 20 feet. There are no mosquitoes around when this device is in use and we were seeing them daily once the weather started getting warmer. You can see a slight mist come out if it periodically. It has no odor. It is very easy to use and when the cartridge needs replaced it lets you know by a soft sound and lighting. I wish these were more reasonable though in price. Depending on the refills it may only last around 8 hours (4 days spent outside for 2 hours). The most important aspect though is preventing mosquito bites since we actually know people who have died from the West Nile virus here in the South. They can carry multiple different other viruses as well. It is not worth the risk and I don’t want to spray some chemical in a can on my skin. So in the long run these are potentially life saving and worth it and we are only going to need them in the summer months when it is actually cool enough to be outside. So basically this is the brand you want to purchase and it works well.

It started last summer, the mosquitoes were so bad I couldn’t enjoy my backyard. Makes a nice little addition around my RV. The first bottle of repellent disappeared within an hours like two! So it may be rather expensive to keep feeding. But everybody reports the thermal system slows down mosquitoes. Once I bought this thing, the Gulf of America weather turned windy, so it’s hard to tell. The dimmable light works very nice on the picnic table when needed. Being rechargeable is very handy. I bought some 72 hour cartridges. So I will always have juice around.

I picked up the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent mainly out of frustration - my patio balcony turn in to mosquito hangout every evening. First off, it's compact and doesn't take up much space at all. I just set it on a small side table and forget about it. Set up is simple and it's not having to deal with sprays or candles. I noticed it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to really kick in, which seems fair. But once it does, the difference is oblivious. After about 20 minutes, most of the mosquitos were gone and I could actually sit outside in peace. If you have a balcony or small outdoor space like mine, this thing works like a charm. I would definitely recommend it.

The product wasn't packaged properly. The refill unit had leaked into its plastic bag and absorbed into the cardboard box. Not only do I have less repellant, but metofluthrin is toxic and not supposed to be handled.

This misquotes repplent did absolutely nothing—mosquitoes were still everywhere. No noticeable effect at all. I regret buying it and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
