what is the length of blades ( driving screws ) ?

The blades are 3" long. However, when they are in the tool there is 2.25" of blade sticking out of the screwdriver.

Don't know where they are actually made, but look for another screwdriver. The original design was awesome, but they had to change the design to be in compliance with the insulated voltage rating. The new design sucks.
