Starting off, I can't find a usb-c extension in any large stores so I turned to Amazon. I purchased this cable a few weeks ago to connect my Samsung Note 10 to a usb-c hub to use Dex mode for as my computer. I was able to replace my Surface Book for most activities by using my phone, this extension, a usb-c hub, and monitor. The cable arrived quickly, and has high quality metal ends. The braided cable is very thick, so while it's flexible it obviously isn't getting damaged by normal use or a playful cat. I've seen other users commenting on Thunderbolt vs usb, and will say that the cable works well with a Samsung Dex Station. The image is clear, the connection works well, and the cable feels well made. I have to use a Dex station instead of basic hub to get the screen ratio right for an ultra wide monitor, but the cable works great on everything I've hooked it into. *1mo update: The cable still works well, but I've found it is directional. I have a surface pro that I hooked to a usbc hub. The surface will charge through usbc, but the cable must be flipped the right way, even though it's symmetrical. I liked it enough to order a second cable after a week of use, so I would recommend it.

So I needed a USB-C extension cable for a USB-C hub that I have for my laptop. To it a connect other USB devices, including a Bluetooth dongle for my mouse and keyboard, a thumbdive, a USB camera for streaming video, two HDMI monitors, and a label printer. Sometimes I even plug in a SD card. On top of that, the laptop is powered by that USB port, so needless to say I needed a cable with high transfer rate and power charging capabilities. One that would look good and be resistant and well built. I looked for many options on Amazon and found this one, kind of in the middle in terms of price range and with good reviews. I decided to give it a try. I did read in the instructions that the cable could only transmit data on one side, meaning that I would have to flip the female end of it if it didn't work. I did have to flip it the first time, and once I did, the cable did its job flawlessly! It charges the computer while still handling lots of data transfer. It has a braided nylon fabric sleeve for the cable, which keeps it protected and makes it look great. It also has plastic terminals that look sturdy and resistant. Great purchase!

This cable is not only able to handle high-speed internet, power, three USB accessories (keyboard, mouse, and cooling fans) and an HDMI out signal but it looks dang well while doing so and leaves my desk looking much cleaner while allowing me to move my laptop around without having to move my hub and all the cables attached to it. The built quality is outstanding compared to any other cable I have tried recently and the color matches the finish of most dark gray laptops quite nicely. I was able to plug in my VAVA USBC hub to my Lenovo Yoga 920 (with this cable in between) without any issues whatsoever. I can now fix my hub in place so that this is the only cable that moves, making it much easier to move my computer around when needed instead of having to carry the hub due to how short integrated hub cables are. I have also not experienced any heating problems after full days of use and have not detected any noticeable lag or signal loss by using this cable so I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get a cleaner and functional set up.

For better or worse Apple has decided that USB-C ports are all you need on your MacBook Pro, so our lives are full of dongles. I like to use my MBP while sitting on the recliner while connected to the power supply, an external monitor, and an external hard disk. I have a dongle that allows me to connect all of these to my MBP through a single port. Unfortunately such dongles all have short cords, so that makes up to 3 different cables running to the recliner. Ugh. I also worry about the mechanical strain of the dongle plus the weight of the 3 cables, pulling down on the MBP's port. So instead I use this extension cord to run to my end table, and have the dongle velcro'd to the underside of the table. This keeps all the cables nice and tidy with just the one cord to my recliner. I have no problems keeping the MBP charged while using this extension. Just be sure to use a dongle that has an adequate USB-C power passthru port, they are not all created equal in this regard. There is a "must read" card that comes with this extension cord which mentions that you may have to switch the USB-C plug orientation for some USB devices. I did have this happen with one of my external hard drives which at first appeared not to be working. So not a big deal and an easy fix if you know about this quirk. An improvement would be if the cord was a little bit more flexible. It is not stiff by any means, but it is less flexible than the cord that comes with Apple's charger. On the other hand I prefer the cloth covering on this cord over the silicone sheathing of the Apple cord. This extension cord should be very durable and resistant to kinking. HOW I ASSIGN STARS IN AN AMAZON REVIEW... The star ratings are always in relation to the item's intended purpose, type, and durability. 5 stars - The item is perfect with no room for meaningful improvement. The item performs its intended function consistently, and without fail. It also appears to be durable in its manufacture and materials. 4 stars - While not perfect, any imperfections are likely to go unnoticed in normal use. The item should be durable given normal care and handling. 3 stars - The item has significant short comings or limitations, but these do not significantly degrade performance. Works perfectly for my PS VR2. The only thing I noticed was that it had the smallest difficulty tracking when the screen was dark for a moment too long. It only happened once in 3 hours of gameplay. Highly recommend this extension if you need one. The one I purchased was the 10ft length.

TL;DR - This extension cable worked with my Dell D6000 docking station with all the connected devices. No complaints yet. This cable works exactly how I need it to. The cable is even more durable than expected due to the high-quality braided sleeving. Despite what the listing says, I was able to successfully extend the hard-wired USB-C cable on my Dell D6000 Universal Dock. The power, two 1080p monitors, and USB devices on the dock are all working. Detailed setup: I am using a Dell Latitude laptop, connected to this extension cable, connected to the hard-wired USB-C cable on my Dell D6000 Universal Dock, which has two 24" 1080p monitors connected with Dell Displayport to DVI adapters, an ethernet cable for internet, the Dell Power Supply for the dock, a wireless receiver for a Logitech M510 mouse, and a wireless receiver for a Velocifire VM02WS wireless mechanical keyboard. All the monitors are functioning properly, including the one on the laptop itself, for a 3-display setup. The laptop is receiving power and internet solely from the dock, over the USB-C connection with this extension cable. Both the wireless mouse and wireless keyboard are functioning properly as well. So far so good, I will update if anything changes.

I bought this with a number of other products (multi-adapter, charging block, etc) so that I can simply plug one cable into my laptop, and it will (1) charge, (2) connect to external keyboard/mouse, (3) connect to external display/speakers, and (4) carry cable internet connection all at once. This cable is what directly connects to the computer, and it's length is perfect for allowing me to mount everything else under my desk, out of the way. The product itself looks very nice and feels of solid quality. It simultaneously handles my 96 watt power supply and all the data transfer required for the above-mentioned functionalities, and I've never had a single issue with it. Compared to some other USB-C connections I have used, it wiggles less when ported in my computer, giving is a solid feel when plugged in. I've actually bought 3 of these now to set up my brother and mom with similar laptop-to-workstation setups, and I highly recommend!

I was blown away when I received these cables. The quality is nothing short of extraordinary. The cable is a thick, braided design and the ends are cold metal. The cables even came with little plastic caps to protect the ends while they were in the box. The boxes they came in exuded quality as well. The cables also were in a nice soft bag inside the perfect little box. Inside the box was also paperwork about them and a notice about the flipping thing you may need to do with some devices. I put them to use immediately and bought 3 to create a swapping setup for two laptops and one dock. They worked perfectly. They seat themselves tightly; you can feel the precision of the fit when you plug them in. I know now where to get extremely high quality cables.
