My groomer told me this brush wouldn't work for my Pekingese and were they wrong! When my little dog is sitting next to me on the couch I just brush away, it is such a bonding time for us and I know I am never tugging on her. She loves the brush as much as I do, plus it is so easy to hold and well made with the nice bristles and wooden base. I have a different brush for gnarly knots but seriously, using this one everyday, she never gets those knots. You know how your dog sometimes gently bites on your finger as a love bite? She sometimes goes after the brush to give it a love bite!

We have been through 6 brushes and our bullmastiffs have not allowed us to use any one of those. I finally decided to find a bristle brush to try in the hopes that our fur-children would like and even help with the decreasing the shedding. Well, not only has this brush met the expectation of the fur-children liking the brush, it aids in the removal of the hair and leaves their coat so soft and shiny. I cannot recommend this brush enough. I will be purchasing more of these brushes. The bristles are strong enough to brush through the undercoat while soft enough to not make the boys (fur-children) feel like they’re being tortured. The handle wraps around the back of the hand allowing for a comfortable palm hold of the brush to brush the boys.

This is a super soft, very nice brush that my cats really like. The value for money is great. It helps distribute thier natural oils throughout thier coat, assist with shedding and hair removal, and seems to be made with good quality material. I only had a few minor annoyances with this that are worth noting and why I took away one star. One was the bristle shedding. I knew based on the product info that some of the bristles were going to fall out, but I was not expecting quite the amount that did, it was A LOT. The second issue I had was the smell. Although it was not super strong and did not last long the bristles had a sort of gasoline, or solvent smell that was a bit off putting. Lastly, while trying to get out the remaining loose bristles with my hand, I had black staining all over my fingers. There appears to be some sort of a black pigment or dye that has been used to color the bristles. I am not sure why you would put something like that on an animal brush. I would rather have something that is be all natrual for my cat to use rather than with dyes and "look better." Over all after some "breaking in" it seems to be a good brush so far and they do not seem too mind it.

This brush is the best one I've used on both house cats and ferals. The best feature is it fits in the palm of your hand. Some cats, especially outdoor cats, are afraid of brushes with handles because it looks like a weapon to them. This one is far less intimidating. Brushing a cat with this brush uses the same motion as petting a cat with a bare palm. It is really soft, and easy to clean. I pull the fur out using a men's hair comb. I haven't seen a cat yet that doesn't like this brush once they let me try it. My feral cats have me well trained... as soon as I stop brushing them they roll around on the ground to get dirty so I'll brush them again 😂

My puppy was ready to tear it apart as though it was a dangerous enemy. I've been afraid to take it out of the box since for fear of a repeat. No question it's real materials.

Just buy it an try. You won’t regret. I have an 18 year old 13lb poodle mix. She is blind and deaf and never minded being groomed, but has become very jumpy at the touch of a brush. This brush allows her to relax and feel like she is being petted. It definitely brushes off loose hair and brushing is good for the dog’s natural oils in their skin. It’s not a brush for long hair, mattes or detangling. But my Golden retriever still likes to be brushed with it. I use a scissors to cut the old dog’s hair at this point, but after I used this brush on her, she went outside and jumped around and ran like she just felt better. Felt great for both of us. My other 5 dogs really like the brush as well. I have to make them wait turns. They jump all over me for it. Good times. I got it for the older dog. But the short hair with scars he hates to have touched and anxiety from them being touched by anyone but me, is very calmed by this brush. So I’d recommend for even working with rehabilitation for dogs and with touch and anxious behaviors.

I’ve used this on a Labrador retriever and it brings out a great natural shine in the coat. I use it as a finishing brush and for daily maintenance to keep the coat clean and smooth. It works well on both long and short hair dogs and feels gentle and comfortable to use. This is not a deshedding tool, but it’s excellent for conditioning and keeping the coat looking healthy.

One pup likes to have her coat brushed, the other, not so much. The brush is a bit small, but it’s a nice product. Elastic hand strap doesn’t quite fit my giant paw, but I manage.

It doesn’t really pickup any cat hair from her body, but she absolutely loves her morning face brushing with it and her body hair feels softer then it did with the more intense (hair collecting) brushes. My cats a senior and her skin if very sensitive to brushing now, but she likes this one. Even though, again, it doesn’t actually collect much hair. The first week of use, brush bristles here and there, but they say that’s normal for the first little while. I’ve had no actual issues and find the hand strap rather convenient and comfortable. It’s become our morning wake up routine, which is great because typically she hates being brushed because of how sensitive her old lady cat skin is. lol

My kitten loves this brush. It is a great size and shape. The bristles are soft but sturdy enough to comfortably brush your cat's coat. Leaves my guy with a smooth shiny coat every time. The strap helps to keep the brush in place in the palm of your hand for easy stroking along your cat. I would suggest this brush to anyone for their animal and it is decently priced.
