Works like a charm. Be sure to watch the instruction video on the product page to learn how to install the battery. If you test a stone and the diamond tester doesn’t turn fully red, it means the “diamond” you’re testing is fake or not a real diamond. I bought diamond earrings from Banter Piercing by Pagoda and immediately tested them with this exact diamond tester. The tester lit up fully red and beeped, proving the diamonds were legit. Very easy to use and access.

Needs to simply warm up longer than instructed
This is not a bad product. You just need to let it warm up about three times longer than the instructions say. It works fine.
