Great product
Works great, much better than expected. High quality and bright lights. Wish it was taller though

Great for price
This thing is awesome. Only drawback is battery life, but with the bigger screen I understand why it doesn't last long.

Ok to start micro soldering, but you'll want something else fast.
My only real issues are the HDMI out isn't the same color as on the screen and the base is really small for what I want to use it for. First of on the size. If you're looking at slides, coins or other small objects don't worry about the size. It's good enough and it's probably better that it's this small. I'm using it for soldering so boards don't balance on it that well. As for the HDMI out mine might just be defective, but when I hook it up to an external display with the included mini HDMI to HDMI cable the picture on the TV is very dark, low contrast, and very green. The picture quality on the built in screen is great. I just wanted to put it on an external display to make it larger because my eyes suck. I was able to do everything I needed to on the internal screen though. A couple other minor nits. I wasn't able to get the screen or the base to take a charge, but I haven't looked at the manual yet other than skimming it to see if I needed to do something with the included micro sd card. It's really cool they give you one because you can save screenshots and videos to it. They could have just had the feature and left you to find your own card. The lights on the base feel a little too short. I couldn't get them to light from the front towards the back. They didn't bend sharp enough and they weren't long enough to do that. They did work really well though. They helped me get a better view of what I was soldering because I could light from different angles to minimize reflections on the flux. It's great as a kid's first microscope too. It's light years beyond what mine was. The HDMI out and the gooseneck lights being kinda short were the only reason I gave it a 3/5 for picture quality. I would have liked if the zoom were more optical/less digital. You can see some enhancement artifacts, but for the price it's ok. The included usb cables are fine. They're ok quality and not too short. For my desk I went with longer ones, but my usb charging ports are under the desk. I definitely recommend it for a hobby microscope or if you want to take pictures and video of what you're magnifying. Watch repair, jewelry inspection, and other small crafts would work well with it. If you're serious about micro soldering get something with all optical magnification, but if you're just trying it out to see if you like it this is a good buy and you can spend 10x this price on something more focused on soldering later.

Best birthday gift
Has amazing magnification, the screen is way much bigger than the previous one I had. It’s great that it came with a clicker to help take pictures. My husband loved it for his birthday gift

Works Great, exactly what I needed
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price, rating and availability. Screen size, picture quality and solid base

It works, but more information is needed
The scope WORKS, to my expectations. But I cannot find the location of the battery. The instructions are of no help in this regard. Also, there is no tech support available, and no contact information for this company, wherever in China they are. I use it only to examine record player styluses, and so I am not concerned with its other capabilities. For the money, it's adequate.

Great screen size
This product is great for me. I collect coins, currency and many other things. The size of the screen is very easy for me to see. I have to use glasses right now and even with them it is hard to see small details on a many items. Great screen size. Many screens are a lot smaller making it still difficult to see.

Height adjustment issues - stuck in one place!
I liked this microscope for the first few months, then one day the height adjustment dial got stuck. It no longer can move up or down. I have tried pliers to get it to move, but still no luck. The back bolt is loosened, so that is not the issue. The microscope itself is okay, but the picture quality, light, and battery could be a bit better. It also will not switch between charging mode, mass storage mode, video mode or picture mode while it is turned on. I have to turn the whole microscope off and then select a new mode when it powers back on, which is time consuming when you want to just toggle back and forth between modes. I was willing to live with that, but now I can’t even adjust the height of the mount. I would not recommend this product.

Great digital microscope! It's good for putting a variety of things underneath, including spotting some interesting patterns in food ingredients you ordinarily might not see, whereby you can then generate new ideas for recipes from your observations including hot beverages. You can also put handwriting underneath to check stationery/office supplies quality and also put phone screens underneath to check for scratches and see how the pixels operate.

Can't say it's bad but needs some upgrades in its lights and arm.

I initially had mixed feelings, but came to the conclusion my USD115 was well spent. I'm happy with the purchase and look forward to my next PCB soldering project. The packaging was nice. Necessary accessories are included, including two USB cables, one HDMI cable, two illuminator heads (vertical and what I would call "near vertical", a handy remote, a 32GB SD card and a little rubber thing that you don't know what to do with until you read the manual carefully. The manual is decent for category of equipment. Assembly was straight forward but the quality of the parts is a bit on the low side. The bottom half of the hinge is preassembled to the base, but the screws were loose. I had to dismantle the base to access the screws. Secondly, the hinge itself was overtightened and impossible to rotate. Luckily, I had the right tools (a set of spanners) to rectify that, also. The height adjustment is also cheaply made, but let's you move the thing up and down. Once together it is rigid enough. So I guess I'd call it ok for the price range. The unit powered up without issue. I found the image quality on the 1080p built-in screen very good, with plenty of light supplied by the included vertical illuminator and side lights.. The same 1080p live view is available on a monitor via the HDMI cable, but note that plugging in the monitor turns off the built-in screen. Captured images are also very good. I was previously using a magnifier app on my phone. I can say that this DM9-H is much better than that. The companion app is free from the Microsoft store and installed on Win11 easily. It is useful if you need to measure things. The live image and captured images via the app are limited to 720p, but still quite clear. After getting to know the unit a bit, I really just have two minor gripes. 1) There are three modes (pc camera, mass storage, and "charging"), and the only way to switch between them is to turn the unit off and back on. The screen and all the internal functions of the unit are disabled in pc camera or mass storage modes. This means, to take high resolution images (>1280x720) and store/view them on the PC, you have to keep power cycling the unit and changing modes. I understand my pc camera and mass storage modes might be mutually exclusive, but not mass storage should be able to work when using the scope. 2) Only the 2MP photo resolution setting has the same aspect ratio as the screen. All the modes, up to 16MP, are 4:3 and reduce the available FOV in live view. This is unfortunate because I did find that the higher res photos provide a slightly improved captured image.

Can't really fault it, really clear image, good image capture, long battery life. If I was forced to give a criticism it would be that it doesn't quite lift high enough to see a whole coin at once
