Great tool, especially at such a good price. I use this to hold ring shanks to file them in preparation for soldering to a plate. Works great for this. I've used it to square the ends of wire and bezel wire, and it is great for those purposes too. All around great little tool.

This jig is small (just 2x2x1 inches) but extremely useful. The holes in the metal allow you to sand your cuts to a perfectly straight squared edge or an angled one. It holds the metal for filing for a perfect edge every time. Because the vise is steel, you can use fine sandpaper on it without damaging it. This price point is perfect for the hobbyist. The steel is precision milled and comes to a smooth closure of the parts when aligned. The vise is easy even for my arthritic hands to close and clamp down. I have small hands, so the vise fits perfectly in my palm and is easy to hold. I'm happy with this vise and can't imagine going back to eyeballing the sanding on my bezel ends ever again.

It’s an inexpensive jig and it’s a good value. The screw tapping is clean, the parts move. I will clean up the packing grease and it should move a bit easier. The finish on the screw heads and the jig itself are clean and functional. It’s an overall good device and the amount I will use it doesn’t justify paying twice the price. What you’re giving up for a budget price is; the device has a hairline gap on one side when I put the pieces back into battery. For the price, I can live with this minor imperfection. The instructions consist of the pictures on the box.

Finally! Completely flat sides perfect for soldering. An expensive little piece of steel but worth its weight in gold.

This jig was definitely cheaply and quickly made. It works well for me but not after modification machining dust was caked in the tool. I ended up having to re cut the threads on the tool. The steel was a touch softer than I would have liked but it is not detrimental. If you don’t mind doing some finishing work this could be a good budget miter jig.
