Very good chest pack
Awesome pack for the money. Good zippers, nice pockets, lightweight, and mine has gone through multiple seasons with no issues. Fits a ton of gear in it for the size.

Done with Fishing Vests, this is what you need.
Always been a fishing vest guy, but this chest pack is the way to go. Very high quality in the construction and thoughtfulness of where each compart is for retrieving your next fly or leader. I am 6'4" and 300 lbs and it fits comfortably with the adjustable strap. The design and function puts everything right at your finger tips and can be used like a little table right in front of your face for tying on your next fly. I have not dropped it in the water yet or fell into the water, so not 100% sure on if it is waterproof or not.

Great product, could use some minor improvements
I also paired this with a Allen Gunnison Switch pack and can carry all my fly fishing gear for when I need to hike long distances to where the fish are. It's soo versatile and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I like that you can adjust how high the pack sits on your chest to keep it out of the water while I'm wading. Improvements could be made in manufacturing. For starters I would relocate the tippit holder out of the small compartment and attach it outside. The clasps for the zipper pulls like to snag fishing line. and more attachment points could be added. Other that that this is a great chest pack that's budget friendly.

Just right for a day of fly fishing
I purchased the Fall River Chest Pack after returning the Allen Bear Creek pack, which was a bit too small for my needs. The Fall River pack strikes for me the perfect balance between compactness and utility, and I've spent many days wading lakes and rivers with it comfortably strapped to my chest. There are certainly larger packs available, but I find that everything I need other than my lunch fits into this pack and keeps me from feeling overburdened and unbalanced when fishing. I usually have 3 or 4 fly boxes in the main compartment, and 4 or 5 spools of tippet in the zippered front pouch, which has a tippet holder attached. in the other zippered pockets I keep extra leaders, strike indicators and split shot containers. I use the rings on either side of the main pouch to attach hemostat, dry fly oil, and nippers on zingers. My landing net with magnetic release is clipped via carabiner to the big O-ring on the back of the neck strap pad, and when attached helps balance the weight evenly on my shoulders. The waist belt keeps everything from shifting as I move about, and serves as a safety belt for my waders. This is the second Fall River pack I've purchased--I lost the neck strap to the first one when my kayak overturned in a creek and I had it detached. My second pack encountered a sewing problem on the neck strap and Allen Company promptly sent me a new pack. I couldn't be happier with their customer service. If you like to fly fish and travel light, I highly recommend the Allen Fall River Chest Pack.

Great value, nice pack!
I just received it a couple days ago. I've not actually used it yet but my first impressions are very good. It appears to be well made. There are no sloppy loose seams. Zippers work effortlessly and smooth. It's a perfect size for me. My previous chest pack was too large. There are just enough attachment points for how I set it up. I have 2 maxima spools and a large fly box in the larger rear compartment. My leaders are there in a back mesh compartment. I found the tippett holder that's sewn into the front compartment useless and a space waster. I cut it out. Its light and comfortable. The neck pad has the same kind of mesh my old pack has and its irritating to my neck. I will attach some kind of more suitable lambs wool padding on top. . So far I'm very pleased. I will report back about durability later this coming summer. What a bargain!!!

great product for great money.
comfortable, nice size pockets no worry about not being able to carry enough flies or gear. heavy duty zippers work great. the design of the straps is great, very light weight does not feel like its there at all. holds all gear ease. easy to open and get inside to change flies, functions as should and more. has lasted over twice as long as my old bag.

Perfect size for a day trip
I'm really loving this chest pack. It fits my extra large Lost Creek double sided fly box in the large pocket with some room to spare. For reference, the box measures 7.5"L x 5"W x 1.5"H. I also store several leaders and Rio Top Ride in there too. If I used a smaller fly box there would be even more room for stuff like a sandwich and bottle of water....hrm maybe I should get a smaller box! I have 4 tippet spools, various strike indicators and doo-dads in the small zippered pocket and a small stringer in the outer mesh pocket. I have hemostats and nippers on zingers, a floatant caddy and Smith Creek rod clip dangling from the exterior. The neck pad has a sturdy plastic attachment point for a magnetic net release. I've fallen in the water and the bag dries out quick. Its light and comfortable to wear and stores the essentials for a day trip. Easy front access makes fly and tippet changing a breeze and it doesn't get caught up while hiking thru brush. Only downside is the velcro fly patch...the soft foam gets chewed up quick from the hooks.

I bought its bigger brother but was a little too large and cumbersome so I exchanged it for this model. Sits nicely on my chest, is big enough for what I want to take to the riverside and most importantly doesn't get in the way of my casting.

Semble de bonne construction. Les coutures sont solides. Le temps vas me dire si c'est vraiment un bonne achat

Por el precio que pagué aprovechando el descuento valió la pena porque a su precio regular está sobre valuado, es buen artículo para pesca con mosca.

I purchased this for when I am dogging during the deer and moose hunt. My backpack is overkill and I am not a fan of walking with things in my pant pockets. Keeps everything accessible and easy to get to. I was expecting it to pull on the neck but it’s extremely comfortable. I would recommend this pack to anyone. Hiking hunting or fishing
