Will these scratch ceramic shower tile

Probably not, I use mine on a fiberglass shower with no scratching

What is the thickness of the Scrub Pad?

The green pads are a little bit thicker and stiffer than red ones. The thickness of green scrub pads is 0.6" (15mm), while the red one is 0.4" (10mm). They are thick enough for good scrubbing:)

Why does the product description say, "note: 1. make sure the brush is rotating clockwise when in use." what difference does it make???

The metal shaft is screwed clockwise in the attachment, so when the brush is rotating clockwise, the metal shaft will stay firmly on the attachment. If the brush is rotating anti clockwise when in use, the metal shaft may become a bit loose from the attachment, and you probably need to screw it back in. Hope that helps:)
