The definitive book on C++ by the creator of C++, The C++ Programming Language teaches one of the most widely-used, general-purpose programming languages. At an advanced pace this book teaches how to work with compilers updated for the new standard. Students heading toward domains where mid-size to large applications are being developed - networking, finance, graphics, and games - will find this book an excellent learning tool. Features 1.) Makes C++11 thoroughly accessible to programmers moving from C++98 or other languages, while introducing insights and techniques that even cutting-edge C++11 programmers will find indispensable 2.)New C++11 includes support for concurrency, regular expressions, general and uniform initialization, lambdas, compatibility issues, and much more 3.)This book features an enhanced, layflat binding, which allows the book to stay open more easily when placed on flat surface and increases durability Review: Very good book written by author of C++ himself - Though this is the THIRD edition of the book, 4th edition being already available, yet the PRICE at which this book is available and the content which is present is no doubt commendable๐. This book might be old but most of the basic things in C++11 standard is yet the same till date with some addons. Would highly recommend people to buy the book who want THE BEST FROM THE AUTHOR IN A POCKET FRIENDLY WAY. You may refer internet for new things in latest C++ standards keeping the book as a reference. Review: For C++ programmers - I'm working my way through the book, and as a former student at Columbia University, I'm honored to know that Professor Bjarne Stroustrup, the creator of C++, continually updates the language. However, in my opinion, this book may be challenging for beginners and intermediates to understand without a certain level of familiarity and depth. Despite this, I encourage you to persist and stay dedicated, as you can certainly grasp the concepts with enough effort.

The book is a must have, the print and binding is ok.
The book is famous across the globe, so no comments there. Every C++ developer should have a copy of this book. As of the quality and print of the book, it is good as well. I've just received it and only flipped thru it, it looks all good to me as of now.

Good Book in quality and content
I am satisfied with the product. I have read only 2 chapters. But the explanation is very detailed. Style of writing is very interactive. I don't feel that its boring. The author has given advice, good programming practices at the end of every book. For beginners, Bjarne recommends his earlier book "Programming Principles".
