Chamberlain LIFTMASTER 4A1344 Black Ceiling Mount Garage Opener Light Socket

This socket assembly is a perfect fit for the appropriate LiftMaster garage door opener, and once I replaced one of them, that one worked great. No more flickering lights. But the other light (which I did not replace with this product) was also flickering. So I decided to do an experiment. I removed the other socket (the one that was still flickering). I used my Dremel tool to just sand off the corrosion that had built up on the contact at the bottom of the light socket, to the point where it was shiny again. That didn't take long, and once I put that one back into place after sanding off the corrosion, it worked like new. So my advice is if you have a Dremel with a sanding stone, try that before buying this part. This part works perfectly, but you may be able to save the money by just cleaning up the contact on the one that flickers. Good luck everyone!

Great garage lights now working. Easy to replace. Used LED light bulb and now is very bright.

These sockets appear to be much superior to the original ones in my Craftsman door opener, which has not had light in years. The installation was not difficult and the lights work great. They are not cheap and shipping is slow and expensive. The wait was worth it.

My garage light was flickering on and off and eventually just gave out. I lived with it for almost a year before I started looking online on how to fix it which led me to this part. Super easy to replace just unplug your garage opener and grab a flathead and pop out the socket. It might feel like your using too much force if its on really tight but it will just pop out. Then there are connectors that you just unplug and plug in this new socket and popit into place and thats it your done. If your socket isn’t correded beyond use like mine you can unplug garage and using a contact cleaner to remove some of the corrison. Hope this helps.
