I received this as a gift before it was labeled for guys. I have been wearing a version of the pixie for over a decade. I’ve tried all kinds of products to give my fine hair texture. This is the first product since a long discontinued spray wax I have used that isn’t too heavy or messy. I had a hard time tracking Baxter’s Clay Spray down. Thank you Amazon!

Is this hairspray? Is this liquid Pomade? Is this the tears of a Egyptian goddess? Unclear. However, it really is nice. You can get out of the shower with your hair wet stylet however, spray this on and set it and forget it — afterwards there is the tiniest bit of hold that is smooth and moderately moldable.

Works well. Using it often along with other products but not as strong as my other clays obviously. Would buy again.

Cap was partially unscrewed on arrival with about a third of the product missing (you can see the stains in the box.) Doesn't quite merit a return, but I wanted to let the company know this was happening.

Having frizzy fly-away hair, this spray does an excellent job of taming my hair with a reasonable hold that gives it some weight and texture. It's exactly what I'd been looking for. You can apply it to hair that's still somewhat damp for a shiny slicker look, or to dry clean hair for more of a messy beach-head look. Very versatile spray that really is the closest thing to a "light hair clay in a bottle". Highly recommended for guys with shorter to medium length hair styles.

I first found this at a discount retailer. I got hooked and couldn't find it again. Thankful it is on Amazon. .. Only wish it was for what I originally paid! Love the texture and choppy look it provides.

I have Medium to long wavy hair and am a big fan of Baxter of California's other hair products. I particularly use their hard water pomade and love it. I have used their clay pomade as well and also like it very much. When I learned that they made it in a spray form, I decided to try it. Despite reading the bad reviews on Baxter's website, I hoped for the best. What I can say is that all of the other reviews were correct. The "spray" shoots out of the atomizer in a stream, not a spray. As you can imagine, this made it impossible to apply evenly. I even tried spraying the liquid onto my hands first and then applying it, however this did not work well. I just don't think the product works well besides the atomizer issues. I can not recommend it this product to anyone sadly. Their other products are top notch. Just not this one. Do they waste your money on it. I ended up returning it.

Great mate spray, I love this for curly hair and it's great for texture in straight hair without a lot of weight
