So when the game devs update the game, will the performance of this cpu catch up to 7900k in gaming?

In short - probably not soon. But, if you're buying a cpu for gaming/streaming, I don't think either the 1950x or 7900k are a good choice. I'd go for the 1900 or 1900X (8c16t threadripper) which also gives you an upgrade path for the next few generations of zen (AMD stated AM4 socket will be supported until around 2020). My hopes are that developers optimize for the Zen architecture (ryzen, threadripper, epyc) more so that we can get higher performance with what we have. It is a new architechture, but it is very good.

Does this include a heatsink/fan?

The Ryzen Threadripper 1950X does not include a heatsink/fan.

Can you overclock it without burning my house down?

yes but you need a nuclear powered liquid nitrogen cooler. make sure you check your local rules on handling uranium because you'll need to know if you can legaly have uranium in your house. ;D Joking aside if this is a serious issue if you get the biggest noctua air cooler avalible for this processor it will run idle at 27C and max out at 55C under load. i use artic MX-4 with the cooler.

Has anyone use tr for 3d modelling, animating, texturing, etc on 3d software such as maya and zbrush? i'm trying to pursue a video-game business.

I do that... the 1950x paired to a 1080ti works like a charm for long hours without heating up and it has improved my daily workflow in about a 20%-30% because it does instantly a lot of things i used to wait for seconds or even minutes in each task wich overall torned out taking a lot of time during the day... it feels like having a machine for the next 10 years
