do this filters fit misouri merschaum corb pipes?

Aldo Velani Italy 6mm Balsa Wood Filters are sold to fit the Missouri Meerschaum Corn Cob Pipes so I'm sure the Savinelli 6mm Balsa Wood Filters would fit, too.

I hand carved some pipes i’m wondering if balsa wood pipe filters work for weed?

My husband smokes a Savinelli pipe and he says the balsa filters works well for keeping moisture out of the pipe, He’s used them for years but whether they work with your carved pipes, he’s unsure. Good luck!

if you only take a few hits a day, how often do you have to change filters?

If "hits" you are referring to bowls, then I would definitely change it everyday. Otherwise, one bowl or so a day it should be good for on avg around 3 days--depending, of course, on your bowl size. However, if money is no object, then it's kinda like changing the oil in your vehicle, most factories recommend now on average between 4 and 7,000 miles. But, it would do absolutely no harm to your vehicle if you changed it every week. As inexpensive as they are, for a clean smoke, change it every time. I don't like leaving a dirty filter in my bowl afterwards.

They are balsa wood pipe filters. They are in packs of 20 and each of the triangles is one filter.They are made specifically for Savinelli pipes but should work on any 6mm opening.
