Good but the insert with the gasket does not hold.
It gets the job done. However, the only thing I wish was it had a magnetic holder for the crimp attachment. Mine has the rubber gasket but does not really hold as well as I would like. If you are on a boat like me and you are trying to crimp seat cushions and you lose this piece its kind of useless.

Much better than a hammer and punch
It took me a while to find these but I am so glad I did. I had bought several sets of Poppers that came with a punch set. The hammer and punch is very hard to use and often ends up crushing the poppers and breaking them or damaging them so they are not strong. The example pictures with these sets were not done with the lunch I am sure. This tool is so much easier to use and gives a much better result. You can easily adjust the pliers to the desired amount of crimp and it is different for male and female popper parts. Much better and consistent results without the noise.

Does “NOT” punch material for boat covers for which it was purchased.
Well, its really sturdy made with a channelock pliers. However you may have to purchase the dies you need separately as the ones that come with it are general purpose and “do not” punch through boat covers. I may suggest if you have a lot of snaps to install to purchase separate dies or a different unit that doesn’t take so much hand power to install snaps. It’s hard on the muscles if you have a bunch to install.
