Outstanding Wall Mount That Has Proven Itself Over Many Years
This is my second purchase of the ECHOGEAR MaxMotion TV Wall Mount, and I came back to it because my first one has been working perfectly since 2016. It has never sagged, slipped, or caused any problems at all, so I knew I could trust it again for my new setup. I installed this new mount for my 77 inch LG B5 television, and it performs just as well as my original one. The build quality feels very strong, and the full motion movement is smooth, steady, and easy to adjust. It pulls out, swivels, and tilts with no effort, and it stays exactly where I place it. The installation process was simple and very clear. The instructions made sense, the hardware felt solid, and everything lined up well with the studs. Once the television was on the mount, it sat level and extremely secure. I am very impressed with how reliable this product has been for almost a decade, and I am just as impressed with the new one. I highly recommend the ECHOGEAR MaxMotion mount to anyone who wants strength, smooth movement, and long term dependability.

I can't believe I've never made a review...
The first time I bought this mount was 5+ years ago. It has traveled from home to home and even made it across multiple states. This mount is heavy-duty, well made, and thoughtfully designed. Heavy gauge steel, smooth and strong arms, full motion without resistance, etc. are great. At this time, I have three of these mounts. The most recent one I bought a couple weeks ago, and the quality is just as good as it was from the original one I bought. I've used this mount on an 85" TV and two 65" TVs, it does not droop or ever feel like it can't handle the weight, even when you pull the mount out to work on stuff behind it. Installation is a breeze, especially if you're handy, the only gripe I could see is simply the weight of the mount, but you need that kind of weight to handle such heavy TVs that are full motion and can pull away from the wall such a large distance. If you're looking for a full motion mount that will last a lifetime, you can't find a better product. Great product, great build quality, great everything.

Appears to be a Quality Product
I have only just installed the product. So this review is not based on weeks or months of use. But the instructions were clear. And it does seem to be a very well built TV mount. There was no play in any of the swivel points. Everything leveled out nicely. There were no weird problems in installing it. It installed fairly easily, as easily as one could hope for with regards to this type of mount. Beware, that it is a heavy device. Once I had the holes drilled, lifting by myself and keeping in place was doable, but could be a little difficult for a smaller person. It's heavy, because it's built well. While I didn't need to use it, there is a leveling feature on it which allows you to rotate it slightly clockwise or counterclockwise to make it level. My only complaint is that there is a bit more space between the back of the TV and the wall that I would have liked. 3-4 inches. But that's the nature of a sturdy full swivel TV mount. With all of the hefty hinges and swing arms behind it, it's unavoidable that there will be space there. I do feel that it is securely mounted. Also, it appears that my 53 pound 65" TV was easily and sturdily supported by this mounting system. But that is well under its rated support range of 125 pounds.

Sturdy, Easy to Install, and great for non-symmetrical wall layout
I mounted my old 42" Vizio on this yesterday. While some may not like the corny instructions I was a fan and found them extremely easy to follow. I opted for this mount over others for several reasons including price, the width of the wall mount itself to future-proof against wider studs, the full articulation, and user reviews. I am definitely not a DIYer and had my heavy 65" 4k tv professionally mounted. I figured for my older and lighter 42" I'd give it a try myself. The instructions were easy and I took it slow to make sure I did everything correctly. It was an easy install and I had almost all of the tools on hand: stud finder, power drill, level, tape measure (correct placement of the tv is key!), screwdriver/screwdriver drill attachments, and a socket wrench. Due to the shape of the bracket with a 'lip' my socket wrench could not tighten the screws into the wall the whole way - I had a set of flat wrenches. Make sure you have one that protrudes out so you can tighten the bolts in a recessed area. I'm not sure the technical term for all of this but it was just something I had not thought of. After a quick trip to Home Depot and a $5 attachment for my power drill, it was off to the races. I hung this mount myself up high in my bedroom using a sturdy ladder with a support that was able to hold the mount up while I tightened. It's manageable to hang it yourself but I would recommend having a friend help you out just to be safe - the mount is heavy! The bedroom in my apartment has five walls - think about taking one of the corners and putting a small 6-ft wide wall in its place - so I wanted the full motion mount to be able to orient my tv properly for my bed. The mount worked like a dream - easy swivel motion and once I had tightened the tilt mechanism on the back of the tv it was good to go! I took my good old time with the installation to make sure everything went smoothly and was just how I wanted it and finished in about an hour. For reference, my only other DIY experience is assembling Ikea furniture six years ago, drilling a coat rack into the wall, and swapping out shower heads. Make sure you have all the proper tools, measure everything out, take your time, and you'll have a great wall mount up!

It's rare to see such a difficult job done so well. Bravo ECHOGEAR!
High quality throughout. The instructions are excellent, probably the best I've ever seen for a product of this class. The design of the product, its fit and finish as well as it's packaging are a marvel of engineering. I'm a critical guy and I was unable to find fault with anything. It's rare to see such a difficult job done so well. I'm very impressed. I don't hang TVs often so I've got to remember the name ECHOGEAR for next time. Further Details: The hardest part is finding the studs, once you do that you are home free. The light cardstock template makes the rest easy. It's best to have a helper because the unit is sturdy and by that mean heavy. You could do it as a single person job by putting in small head screws at the top so as to hang it like a picture while you install the lower lag bolts, and after tightening the lower lags, swap out the top skinny screws for the upper lag bolts. It comes with all the hardware. The topmost holes of the two back of TV brackets are roughly 4" above the upper row of wall mounting lag screws. Your TV manual should show you were the VESA mount is positioned with respect to the TV extent, so you can use this four inches to figure to determine how high to mount this on the wall. You will need some of your own tools. I used my own (measuring tape, masking tape, pencil, level, drill with 7/32" bit, and a 1/2 socket wrench, I also used post-its to mark out the 4 corners of where I expected the TV to land as well as to mark expected heights.)

Very worthy mount. Only minor gripes.
This is a very good TV mount. I used it for a 65in LG OLED C1 TV which weights around 75lbs. I had already owned a different full motion mount for my prior TV but given the required placement of the mount on that TV (much lower), I was going to have to move the old one anyway. The specs on that one suggested that it maxed out on a 60inch TV. I'm sure it would've worked but that other mount was somewhat tough to move when the TV was actually on it so I decided to get a new one. In comes the ECHOGEAR mount... Everything needed for mounting was included. Especially important are the lag bolts for the portion that mounts to the wall. I don't believe I received those with the prior mount so that's an extra cost (and trip) to factor in for other mounts. Also appreciated the template provided. Instructions were clear, well written and entertaining. I really don't know why that is so hard for many companies but they could take a cue from ECHOGEAR on how to write instructions. Overall, installing the mount was not difficult. The hardest part is just making sure you find studs in the wall and are relatively centered on them. And I guess holding the mount while installing the first couple of lag bolts. My installation has the TV located in a cutout over my fireplace -- i.e. a recessed nook. My TV is 57in wide, the cutout is about 59in wide so there isn't a lot of clearance on the sides. After mounting the brackets to the TV, I measured from the bracket hooks on the TV to the top and bottom of the TV to ensure I was placing it at the right height in the cutout. Marked the height in the nook, grabbed the template and marked where my lag bolts would go in. I pre-drilled the holes and then held up the mount while screwing in the lag bolts, making sure it was level along the way. After that, it's just a matter of extending the mount, setting the TV brackets on the front top of the mount and securing the bottom. As another reviewer stated, it's a good idea to tighten down the tilt mechanism prior to putting on the TV, it can always be adjusted later. Overall, this could probably be done in about 20 minutes but I probably took an hour just to measure multiple times and think thru what I was doing. As I said, I only had about an inch clearance on either side so I was worried that my slightly off-center studs were going to make it very difficult. Based on where the holes in the backplate are and where my studs were located, the mount was an inch closer on one side then the other, so I was still worried about being centered. Turns out, that was all for naught -- while it's good to be as centered as possible, there is sufficient lateral movement in the mount to get the TV centered even if the mount isn't. You might be asking, why only 4 stars? Well, I have a couple of small gripes. Some may be fair, some less so: 1. This mount moves easily, even with a 75lb mounted. Much, much better then my last one. I wanted this feature but now that it's mounted, I'm not as convinced I do. I only need the movement when first mounting it to pull the TV out, connect everything and then push the TV back into the cutout. After that, I'd prefer it didn't move again until I replace it. WIth this mount, if you touch the TV, it will move -- no real force needed. Given my minimal clearance on the sides and the fact that my TV is a thin piece of glass, I have minor concerns that I'm going to bounce it into the walls when cleaning. Hard to blame the mount for being too fluid but it's a thing. 2. The paper template is nice for marking your holes. My minor gripe there is that it's hard to hold a piece of paper against a wall, put a level on it and mark the spots for you lag bolts at the same time. Very minor complaint and there may be some trick to this that I'm missing but it would be lovely if some clever person came up with a solution to that -- like a thicker edge on the template. 3. Another minor complaint that may be more on LG then ECHOGEAR -- which screw should I use to mount the brackets to the TV? ECHOGEAR provides several different sizes with different lengths and widths. Ideally, you want to use the longest one that will fit in your TV. The problem is, that if you use one that is too long, you break your TV. If you use one too short, your TV may dismount prematurely. This is probably on the TV manufacturer to provide since I'm sure it varies. But a note in the instructions would be nice on how best to determine this. I struggled with this longer then I should have. For me, I took a medium length M10 bolt, attempted to thread it slowly and gently into the TV to see if it would fit all the way. It did, so I went with that. Could I have used a longer one? Perhaps, but we'll never know. 4. The last gripe is cost. My previous mount was about $50. This one was closer to $120. They are both equally heavy duty and built very similarly. This one has much more fluid motion so it's worth extra $$. But is it worth over double? Probably not. But given how much I spent on the TV, I'm not going to lose sleep over the cost of the mount but I feel like it would be a better value around $80 and that would have warranted a 5th star from me. In summary, I listed gripes but the reality is that there are many more features of this mount that are good and it's definitely something I would purchase again or recommend to a friend. However, I would also have them watch to see if they could get it a little cheaper than list price.

High Quality
This is a solid product. It is heavy so you may need a second person to help install. Properly installed you don't have to worry about your tv... It's secure !!

Excellent all around.
First, read the instructions. They are EXCELLENT. Well-written English step by step instructions with humor on every page. Second, lay out all the parts. It's all there and it's good to count and identify everything before you pick up the wrong screw by accident. Most of the small parts are in individual sealed packets with the size stamped on each packet. Very well-labeled. Concerns: 1. I've set up TVs before and the first thing I checked out was the stud-mount spacing. Using an electronic stud finder, I marked my studs on the wall, 16" apart as usual. This wall base has a pretty good offering of oblong holes to line up with your studs in various situations. Of course, this mounting system is responsible for SO much weight that it only allows the spacing to vary left or right a certain amount; if the wall base was too far to either side, the system might not support the TV well. And, it won't let you go that far. So, I leveled the template with a small spirit level, taped the template up to the wall, and drilled my four deep holes. The four hefty lag bolts went thru the base plate and into the studs as planned. 2. The step of lifting the TV set (after having installed its rear bracket earlier) can be a nightmare. I brought in a friend as suggested, showed him the "hook" arrangement, and we did it in one step just like that. Great design and safe support. 3. Finally, the TV pulls out (WAY out) from the wall by just pulling it with both hands-- and it can swivel sideways (WAY sideways), left or right, by just pulling it with both hands. All the while, it feels as solid as can be. These guys took the trouble to engineer and re-engineer the product to make it as foolproof as possible for home installers. Excellent engineering and quality control.

Well made, easy to install
We bought this to hang our 55" TV. We chose this model to fit the bolt pattern on our TV and after finishing the install, we are confident this is a good product. This appears to be well made and good quality. The mount is packaged very well, we had no concerns anything inside was damaged, and there is a great selection of screws and spacers. The lag bolts were good quality. The instructions are the best : clear, well written, good pictures, and they have some fun too. As the product claims, this is very easy to install. The template is accurate and makes this a quick job (once you find the centre of your studs). If you are unsure at all, watch the installation video - it's only a few minutes long and is a reliable demonstration of all the steps. The mount moves smoothly when pulled away from the wall and pushed back in. Great options for extending out from the wall, tilting down, changing viewing angle - all the product descriptions for range of motion are accurate and easy to adjust.
