The ink pad was dry. The numbers don’t come out clear. It’s an old stamp that probably was in their inventory for a long time.

Turning the dials isn't easy, it'll put some ink on your finger tips, and it takes some getting used to adjusting the date. But it prints pretty clearly and it's helped me as I needed.

Necessary
I hate to give a low rating. It was very hard to locate a stamp for expiring so I am glad to have found this but it could be a bad stamp. It sticks in the down position every 2 or 3 stamps and then it is heck to unstick it plus it get ink on you that was hard to wash off. I hope it was just a bad stamp. It is easy to push up and down but the sticking is not acceptable.
