David's Cookies Deep Dish Cookie Cake with HERSHEY'S® KISSES, 10"

It's what as advertised! First time trying this brand. This carrot cake was very good and was exactly what I was looking for. It looked very appealing, with a nice overall presentation and appearance. The pre-sliced format was also convenient and made it easy to serve. The cake had a soft, moist texture that made it enjoyable to eat. It wasn't overly dry or dense, and the cake itself had a nice consistency. I was especially impressed with how well the cake held up after being refrigerated. It maintained its softness and overall quality rather than becoming hard or dry. It also appears to have good freeze-and-thaw performance. Even after being frozen and properly thawed, the cake maintained its texture and overall eating quality. That is a big plus for storage and keeping the product available without sacrificing quality. The frosting blended very nicely with the cake. It complemented the carrot cake rather than overpowering it, and the combination of the soft cake and smooth frosting made for a very enjoyable bite. Overall, this is a very good-quality cake with a great combination of appearance, softness, frosting, and storage performance. I would definitely purchase it again and would recommend it to others.

I bought the Patriotic Cake. When I received it, I thought, "Man, this thing is heavy!!" This has to be one of the richest, tastiest, most delicious cakes I have ever had!! Yes, it was pricey, but more than worth it. You would pay $30 to $40 for a cake from your local grocery store, and it doesn't taste half as good as this one. The best way to serve it (I live alone and could never eat it all at once) is to keep it in the freezer, in the excellent protective box that it was shipped in, remove the plastic wrap from the top as you remove one slice at a time (cake is pre-sliced; another nice touch) to put on a plate (cover with foil to keep fresh flavor) for about 2-4 hours to thaw out. This cake will last me through New Year's and still be fresh, so, the higher cost to me is justified. And the buttercreme icing is addictive!! So, if you love a delicious cake with an artisan's touch, by all means buy this one!! I will buy more in the future, to be sure. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ordered this cake for my husband, he loves carrot cake and this one is now his absolute favorite. Especially liked the fact that everyone served an individual slice received a lively carrot decoration . Tasty and delicious, smiles across the table.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Yesterday was my son's Birthday.. & I got him Carrot Cake Because He Loves Carrot Cake & Says it's his Favorite.. However Even though this arrived in a Cooler, It arrived with NO ICE.. & I Immediately Put it in the Freezer to Chill.. His Birthday Being 2 days after I Received It, However...... We Got Everything Prepared, & Celebrated His Day, & at 4:30pm we served presliced Cake .. My Son was upset, because he said MOM, IT TASTE LIKE PLASTIC.. Then the Guest started putting their plates down , With only a single bite taken on most , or less than 1/2 of the piece eaten on a few of them.. We had about 12 people.. mostly adults.. & 3 children... 2 of the Children are all of their piece.. However my son was in tears and said why was his birthday cake Nasty.... I personally don't think it was molded or bad, however it definitely tasted OFF as if the frosting tasted like lemon or something.. to me.. Others said it tasted like rancid cheese, & Two people said it tasted very dry.. 3 said it had no cinnamon or nuts.. So seems that no one liked it.. Unfortunately $50+ dollars is a HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO LOOSE, & IM VERY SAD FOR MY SON, WHO ONLY GETS ONE BIRTHDAY A YEAR , & This was his 17th birthday... I would Advise AGAINST BUYING THIS.. & WILL NEVER BUY IT AGAIN..

As an Austrian this is a nice chocolate cake but defenitely not à Sachertorte….A Sachertorte has apricot jam right under the hard chocolate coating on the top….. It does not have frosting or à chocolate mousse middle…. That being said the cake is delicious!!

I am giving this four stars instead of five because it is very expensive! It is worth it to me because I love carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and this is the best carrot cake I've ever had! I love that it is pre-cut into 14 identical individual slices makes it easier to portion it out and not eat too much at one time, it also enables you to share with others who might like it like my parents, my mom is going through cancer treatment the last few months after she was diagnosed with lung cancer and bone cancer in her hip but her chemotherapy is working very well and the cancer in her chest has decreased it has gotten smaller due to the chemotherapy treatments she's been having, my dad is taking care of her and taking her to and from the hospital for treatments and I saved some of it for them my dad loves it but my mom is not a fan of carrot cake but my dad loves it and it's a nice way to give him a little treat to help keep his mind off of what a family is going through with my mom sick. Her prognosis is good because her cancer was caught early! And this is a good way to give my dad a little something special to let him know how much I appreciate all he's doing for my mom! This is and absolutely delicious cake it was frozen solid when I got it but it was easy to remove a piece and defrost it for a couple seconds in the microwave and I was able to eat it on the day that I got it just one slice at a time makes portioning easier, since I have a great love for sweets but love to keep my trim figure I try not to overdo it and this portioning of the cake is a big help to me! I would definitely recommend this particular cake from David's cookies company I would really like to try a few of the others they look so delicious but the prices are very very high for these cakes, but, they are gourmet cakes, and it's a once and a blue moon splurge and to me it's worth it! Cuz sometimes life can be really rough and being able to treat yourself to something so delicious and it's made with quality ingredients that you can feel good about serving yourself and your family any one of these cakes or thier delicious cookies!!🍰

This cake is pretty good. I’ve been trying to find the ones I bought a number of years ago. Sold in various stores. Whole this is good, am mainly trying to find the old ones because they had the very best cream cheese icing and looked exactly like this one. And they had a LOT OF ICING on them. This has icing that’s okay, but it’s spread pretty thin both between layers and on the top. So I guess I’ll keep looking.
