After reading some of the reviews, I want to clarify that this product is not sticky in the traditional sense; it only adheres to itself. I think some people see the word "tape" and immediately assume it should have a sticky adhesive backing, but it does not. ​ There are a few key points to keep in mind, even though they are covered in the instructions: ​Proper Technique: When starting and ending your wrap, ensure you wrap the tape around itself at least once to secure the hold. ​Surface Preparation: It is crucial to clean the item thoroughly before wrapping. I personally use 99% isopropyl alcohol, though 91% or 70% should also work fine. ​Application: Take your time. As others have mentioned, this tape is not very forgiving once applied. ​Regarding quantity, I was able to wrap five tools—similar to the one in my photo—using a single 10ft roll. As far as long-term durability is concerned, only time will tell.

Very grippy and I know this is gonna make my pull up drills easier. However, since you have to wrap it and slightly overlap it, it doesn’t go as far as you think. And the second you’re wrapping and it touches another section, you can’t pull it apart and the whole section is wasted, as seen in my photo. I used two rolls and started at the ends of each side so thankfully the gap is in the middle where my hands won’t grip.

This grip tape is a game changer on my pole! It sticks perfectly to the pole. It stretches perfectly to get a tight grip around the pole and it IS very durable! When wrapped tight around the pole, it maybe covered a 2ft area. Thus, I will buy more! It helps get a glue tight grip and the tape stays put! Its been 2 months and ive got no complaints besides, I need more to cover my entire pole! Great value for the money. Ive tried so many other things to help with grip, this tape is definitely #1!

Not your average use. Hi! I ordered this to help me with things around the house. I applied it to things I needed or wanted extra grip on for more security. Like my portable AC unit and my tension rod closet. Its texture and composition make it a little bit sealed to utilize it for that purpose. It works and helps but is not pretty or easy. Helps provide extra stability in what I want it for but wasn’t exactly stable itself. I guess I was expected it to be sticky and attach to things itself and it’s not really like sticky just a funny texture kinda like a kids “slap it” toy texture minus the stick.

This is what I call grip tape! If you are looking for 100% hand grip especially on a pull up bar, this is the grip tape for you. I can grip overhand, false grip, normal grip and it allows me to really focus on muscle engagement for overloading and building strength without grip being the limiting factor as more weight is added. The minor annoyance with application of the tape to the bar is the plastic that covers the tape on one side. You have to peel and apply simultaneously which slows down the process but probably protects the tape from sticking to itself. The stickiness is apparent until it’s wrapped and tension applied so don’t worry about it sticking to your hand during application. Once you action apply pressure during gripping is where the grip kicks in. I’m buying more for my pull up bar in the garage and Olympic rings. I will not buy another brand after experiencing this one.

Excellent tape, feels like it isn't there but gives you lots of grip. The doesn't go too far and it's really expensive though so you need to plan out how you're going to use it.

This tape is pretty cool. I am using it on the outside of a 2 litre measuring cylinder (yeah, like in a chemistry lab) that has no friction surfaces, and gets wet. Having the one grip strip allows me to pick it up with one hand till I get my other hand under the base. Yes, you could just use the strip alone to hold it, but safety first. One strip of this tape does the trick. When you apply it if you stretch it a little bit it seems to hold to the surface better, or can overlap it a bit.
