If you want to loose weight and get some nutrition into your system, I suggest to read all his books. I am a rawist and was searching for avenues to help others. I am super fit and love juicing. I love the authors story as he had mayor problems and cured him self with juicing. He also has a clinic in Brazil as well. :)

A MUST READ!!!
I donโt usually leave reviews but this one deserved a 5 star! Easy to comprehend and best of all EASY TO IMPLEMENT RIGHT AWAY! Hard to put down. Very excited for my healthy journey ahead with food freedom and being set free from drug like foods and drinks! Thank you so much for this very important book. Kinda wish I could shout this from my rooftop!

Interesting concept
This book held my interest from beginning to end. I read it in about three days and am trying to follow the concepts. I TRULY believe he has the answer - it is just if I personally can follow it. Food really is a trap - and I admit I am in the trap.

A different approach
I've read a ton of books on nutrition What I really like is how JSon really exposes the food industry. Plus he describes junk food so that you're repulsed by it. Great book funny accurate and gets you in a positive frame of mind to break free of BIG FOOds toxic junk food

This book will help with the weight loss regardless of you view on food theories.
In reality this book is based on cognitive behavioral therapy principles and would help reprogram you cravings for BAD foods. The best book on nutrition. Would help whether you are paleo or vegan.

Transformation at 52
I just discovered I have slightly just a little high blood pressure. I don't know what that means but I refuse to take medication the dr wants me to be back in 15 days to see how I am doing. I think that will be my half way mark for my 28 day juice challenge. This book slim for life is really good it inspired me a fast food junk food junkie to get me thinking I would love to be around for my grand children and be an inspiration to them to juice and move all their lives so they do not suffer from any standard illnesses thank you for the kick in the bum

Mixed feelings
While I do like the book, some of the nutritional information contradicts info on the topic from various other sources. Jason talks a little bit about how animals eat in the wild; about natural vs unnatural foods and ways of eating. For example, he talks about adult mammals not drinking milk, especially from another mammal. He talks about how you wouldn't see an animal in the wild eating simply because they're bored, and other such examples. How do you come up with juicing being the perfect nourishment when it's somewhat of a newer fad? Depending on the location in the world, our ancestors only had access to fruit seasonally. And when, since the beginning of time have you seen people juicing? (I'll admit, I am not a fan of juicing, but I do like smoothies). All in all, I would recommend the book because it inspired me to make better food choices, but take it with a grain of salt. I own 3 of this books and would definitely recommend.

An eye opener. A must read if you really want to live a more healthy lifestyle and be what you eat. We think we know what is bad for you, but there is just so much we really do not appreciate that goes on with food that has been through some form of processing. Having just posted this review, I then looked at why there is negatives about this book. I feel strongly to defend this book. Having proven Jason Vales Juice concept for myself, lost 28llbs in less that 2 months, seen improvements in my health, and wellbeing that are noticeable by friends and family before even reading this book. Jason although not a scientist and he makes very good points and makes you really think about much that we take for granted. Why should we accepts scientific facts which takes years to be reported on, whilst someone is busy working on proving another theory on what and how we need to eat. Who's to say they are right. I am sure they have very good evidence to contradict or even recommend different practices. All I am saying is THIS book is good, it may not be everyones flavour of writing, but it really makes you think and questions many things. Yes, eat healthily is the key, exercise is important and don't we all know it. But sometimes you really need a good book to motivate, and Jasons energy and enthusiasm helps make a subject that could be boring to read about and presents it in such a way that does motivate many people to get back on to the right track, you just need to follow him on faccebook, twitter etc to see how much success there is when people follow the Jason Vale Recommendations.

This is one of the best books about 'food' I have ever read, if you think your relationship with food could use a shake up it's probably a good one for you too!
