I want to cover the bright display on the touch panel of my range hood. Will I still be able to see the touch spots and will the touch still work?

If pressure activated, should work fine. You will still be able to see; they just won't be as obnoxiously bright. I love these things, and have used them on my burglar alarm keypad, Uverse box, HP printer, etc. Bedroom is much easier to fall asleep in now.
