What size are the individual beads? Are the beads wood or plastic? Thank you!

The beads are the same size as typical Montessori Material beads. They are plastic and will work nicely with your other Montessori materials.

Can I get them in a connected or nylon or molded bead style? This type w/o the link are good for comparing that 3 + 4 is the same size as 7, etc

Unfortunately, we cannot remove the hooks from each bead bar. So you cannot connect 3 and 4 bead bar and make them the same size as a 7 bead bar.

The description says it come with 20 of each bead bars but one of the reviews says it comes with ten, can anyone enlighten me please?
