Yes. Actually, it is at least 3x more capable at U3 than Class 10. Class 10 is 10 MB per second. There is a new "U" series defined for video, that extends the old class system. U1 has the same rate as Class 10. U3 is 30 MB per second. The Extreme is a U3 card.

Yes, you can record any digital files on this card. It is extremely fast, and can even handle 4K videos, and digital images. It's rated very fast. So, music away! The hours of recording have to do with the quality and size of the files. I would suggest that you record onto your PC/Laptop, etc. Then, transfer to this card. The card will handle recording directly, but you might like to do some editing in between. How come this sd card written shipping fed is free but it still charge after i process the payment?

$25.00 shipping though is super overkill in my opinion for a dang SD card. Prime member or not I would return it for having the audacity to charge that much for such a small/lightweight item.
