The form factor alone is a huge improvement over the red light mask (a random cheapo one from Amazon) I was using before. The size of the unit provides decent coverage while still small enough to put on my desk and move around. The adjustable stand makes it easy to position for whatever area you're targeting and is sturdy enough to actually keep it in place. The metal housing seems quite robust. Controls are easy to use. It gives off the tiniest bit of heat when using the NIR setting, but the unit itself remains cool and the fan isn't distractingly loud.
