Perfect Replacement!
Exactly what I needed for my Forest River travel trailer. Did not use the provided putty adhesive, recommend using butyl tape or other sealant if you have membrane on your roof. Overall very satisfied!

Great repair part but the screws are a joke
If your old caps are cracked or broken this is a great replacement. Easy to install. The casket is great, need the right caulk to cover when done but… Those attachment screws are nonsense. Flat head and or hex screws. Stupid. I’ve used 2 of these and used the old philips screws because that make actual sense.

Just the thing for fixing your vents and stopping some common roof leaks in RV's.
What can you say? This is the exact part (but new!) for my 30 year old RV. The old ones are just cracked, missing the cover and leaking a bit, which is the main reason for some of the ceiling stains in the shower and toilet rooms. Cheap, good quality and easy to install. Can't ask for much more except to have someone else do the install....

Direct replacement
This vent cap was a direct replacement for the old one on my 2004 RV. I didn't need to replace the base, just the cap itself. The Arizona sun ruined the plastic cap after 8 years. I am saving the base, in case I need to replace it later. The cap installs over 4 sets of dual locating pins (8 pins total) on the base, with a screw mount to hold it in place. If you have this type of vent, it is a piece of cake to change the cap. I found no photos of the locating pins on this vent anywhere online, so check your vent first to make sure it is the right one. If I would have needed to change the base, as well, that would have been straightforward, as it attaches with 6 screws and some sealant. If you are installing this vent as a new install, it should be easy. I resealed all of the screws and edges with Dicor 501LSW self-leveling RV roof sealant (also great stuff), and I am confident this should last for years. I was so happy with this vent, I bought a spare. Check out my photos of the unpackaged product in the intro, and read my photo captions for more details.

I had to replace the original one that was broken on my 2007 Truckcamper. It fits perfectly and easy to install. The putty tape and screws were included in the package.

Exact replacement at a reasonable price
We bought out RV about 15 years ago, and last summer, it was obvious that the time had come to replace the vent covers. The sun had done its work with UV deteriorating the plastic. While it's not a complicated job to replace these, it is a rather delicate chore because of the amount of self-levelling sealant that was used at the factory. I needed to carefully remove a ton of the old stuff before I couple even get at the screws to loosen the old one off. I also spent a fair bit of time removing the excess sealant from around the vent cover while ensuring that I did not damage the roof membrane. Fortunately, at the factory, they didn't use any of the self-levelling sealant on the vent covers bottom, so once the stuff I could get at was removed, the old vent popped off easily enough. After applying a ring of the included flat putty-like seal to the bottom of the cover (this is the last line of defence to keep water out), it then slid onto the short section of the vent pipe that protrudes above the roof. Once screwed down, it was a simple enough job to use the self-levelling sealant again once I also cleaned off some of the mould/fungus/whatever it is that grows on the roof membrane. This ensured that the self-levelling compound I applied would make a water-tight seal with the membrane. In all, it took me about half an hour to replace the old cover. Considering that the RV shops in my city wanted at least twice as much for the same vent, this is a good deal.
