Is this a good guitar for a beginner?

It is a fantastic guitar (even a little overkill) for a beginner. But if you do get this or any other electric guitar for a beginner, make sure you also get an amplifier (probably a cheap combo amp would do). My first guitar was a squier strat + crate combo amp bundle for just a few hundred bucks. But I certainly would've done just as well with this guitar!
