You can place one strip near the front bottom, and one near the back bottom and it will be really secure

How do you remove from leather? One reviewer said it ruined their couch.

I would be afraid of it messing up couch if tried to remove, would be sure of placement before it set

Will tape stick to fabric?

I believe you can do so safely. I have repositioned a piece of tape that was not meeting the other Velcro strip properly. There was still sufficient adhesive so I didn’t need a new piece of tape.

Will this work to keep outdoor cushions in place ?

I have not tried but I’m sure it would work fine! Ours gets full of dog hair as still sticks. When there is too much I just sweep it out.
