Perfect bathroom fan timer
Works great. Itโs perfect to install in electrical boxes where the neutral wire is not available. BUT, this comes with a caveat: IT TAKES 2 MINUTES TO WARM-UP when first posted on!!! Iโve been using one for 2 years and itโs doing great. It does have LEDs that illuminate when itโs on, but no lights otherwise. I also got a unit that requires the neutral wire, and that one keeps 2 leds on at all times, they are a bit strong, it bothers us at night in the master bedroom and we need to keep the bathroom door always closed, so I prefer this version that keep the lights off in the master bedroom, but probably nice for some other room like a powder room.

Bathroom Electronic Timer is easy to install and works great!
This Enerlites variable bathroom timer can work with a fan, or a light, but not both at the same time. I wanted to prevent our bathroom fans from staying on all day (which is what happens when there's nobody there to turn it off), so I connected it up to our 2nd switch (inward mounted one from the door) in our bathrooms. The switch takes up a standard SPST rocker type switch opening. My wall plates and electrical boxes in our bathrooms were selected to house two SPST type rocker switches: One for the light and the other for the fan. The blue light in the photo only blinks twice after you push the desired "On" time for the light, or fan you connect it up to. After it blinks, the light stays off (which is a bit silly, but not a serious flaw). GE makes a similar, almost identical timer. I just didn't see that one first, or I would have ordered the GE one. I must tell you that after I connected power to the timers by turning on the circuit breaker (I installed one in the two bathrooms I have) I witnessed the fans running when I returned to the bathroom. For some reason, when power is first applied, the timer function in both cases was a bit confusing in that the big over-ride button on the bottom didn't turn off the fan. However, if you let the fan run and turn off by itself, then it works normally after that. It's just weird that on the first Power-on that the function of the big button doesn't seem to work. I would have given it five stars except for that confusing first power-up issue that caused me to double check my wiring. But it wasn't my wiring; it's some glitch in the way the switch first powers up because it did the same thing in two different bathrooms for the two timers I ordered.

Best timer ever!
These timers are great! If you donโt want a smart timer this is the answer. They have several options so they work for a lot of lights and rooms. Unless you have a huge power outage you donโt have to reset them like smart plugs. They very easy to use too.

Useful and easy to install, despite LEDs that can only flash then go dark
I chose this model because the buttons are all in logical ascending duration order and it works without a neutral wire. I am pleased to report that if you have to guess which of your wires is hot and which is load (because your house doesnโt have red and black and you donโt have a multimeter) โ and you guess wrong the first time, the switch doesnโt get fried! It just doesnโt function with what I would call โreverse polarityโ. Once I swapped which of my houseโs wires was connected to this unitโs handy red and black wires using the supplied caps and waited two minutes, the countdown switch worked as designed. I am an electrical novice, but was able to replace a basic switch with this one without any hassles (once I had hot and load connected to black and red.) Minus one star because there is no way to keep the LED indicators on continuously to indicate which mode is active, or at least have them periodically flash to indicate status. Also, it would be great to have a 20 minute option between the 10 and 30 minute ones. For me a 20 minute option would be far more useful than the four-hour option. Despite those minor quibbles, this timer switch pairs nicely with my new Panasonic lighted bathroom exhaust fan that takes a full 30 seconds to reach full speed.

Who in their right mind came up with such an unintuitive and strange design?
Who in their right mind came up with such an unintuitive and strange design? Any ordinary person would expect that pressing the 1-minute button would turn on the LED light next to it and keep it on until the 1-minute mark, and the same for other buttons. Pressing the large button would turn on the LED light under it and keep it on indefinitely until you press it again to turn off both the electricity and the LED. However, this is how this bizarre design actually works: when you press the 1-minute or any other button, the corresponding LED flashes twice and then goes dark. Electricity is turned on, and the countdown begins. So, the next person looking at the switch would have no idea which switch was pressed or how long the electricity will remain on. Even more confusing, when you press the large switch, the last timer switch LED flashes twice and then goes dark. This large buttonโs LED doesnโt turn on or flash at all. Essentially, the large switch is the same as the last timer switch you pressed. To use the large switch to turn on the electricity indefinitely, as per the user manual, you need to press and hold it for 8 seconds. Then, the LED under the large switch will turn on, and youโll have electricity turned on indefinitely.

Doesn't work for conduit
My house has conduit, which means there is not a standalone ground. The ground is the conduit. For every other switch, outlet, etc, the metal body if the switch is gounded by screwing it into the box via the ears. On this one, apparently the switch ears are not part of the ground circuit. The switch would not work without the ground wire itself being used, which is a pain since you need special screws to add a ground mount to the metal conduit box. The switch came with everything else needed to install it, wire nuts, cover plate, and all the screws needed besides that ground screw for conduit. That ground screw should be added, and/or the ears of the switch work for a ground path. Once installed, had no problems with the switch. Waited around 10 minutes after install and the switch worked fine.

Good deal
Works very well. Do a little online video Tutorials. Found a couple on YouTube. 10 minute install works great. Just a little delay in reaction time because of the lack of a neutral wire. Nothing to even think about though. I was a firefighter for 28 years and went on a lot of bathroom fan fires where the fan had been left on over the weekend or while the family was on vacation. This buys me little piece of mind because it shuts off on its own.

LED does not stay on
The LED light does not stay on when the switch is on. This makes it impossible to tell if your bathroom fan is running or not. My bathroom fan is silent so this switch is useless for me.
