Works great for everything I’ve used it for so far. I’ve sliced a lot of carrots and potatoes with it and it was very easy to use. Clean up was a breeze and the setting for the blade depth mad it easy for making the kids some good crispy potato chips! Quick to used and the blades are sharp enough you don’t have to force anything!

Cuts well and very safe. My old mandolin I would scrape my knuckles or my fingertips, this avoids that and takes the strain off my joints well. But because it's designed to keep the blades out of reach of fingers, it's hard to get really clean even with the included brush.

I bought this slicer for my husband. We had another slicer, but it was not safe and had a lot of extra parts to keep up with. We found this one and liked the fact that it was easy to store and easy to clean. It is very sharp and slices thinly potatoes and other vegetables. It is easy to assemble and fingers are well away from the sharp edge. It has a tray underneath for collecting sliced food. It stands upright rather than horizontal which in my opinion makes more sense. It it made of high quality plastic and seems like it wil hold up well with proper care. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a safe and effective slicer.

I've gone through SO many mandolin slicers through the decades. Most I used once or twice, then replaced with something else. The one I wanted to use today was one I don't think I ever even USED before. But when I pulled the parts out, I found that while I had all the inserts for blades, I didn't have the piece the blades went INTO. I still had the whole thing for the dicing part of it, but not the slicing. So I hit Amazon to find anything I could get delivered today so I could still get this cooking. This one and another version of it popped up with same day delivery, and this one was a bit of an upgrade and just seemed more solid. So I picked it. This is my first time using these plunger type of slicers. And I have to say it's a game changer. Holy cows, this thing just made the job go SO quick. I didn't have to julienne or anything, so I didn't have to go with the other blades for now, but even just how fast I got through the potatoes for my scalloped potatoes was VERY impressive. I was worried about the legs when you open it to that position it's supposed to SNAP into place - I feared that would be a weak point that would likely break sometime sooner rather than later. But it wasn't at all what I had expected. Just a small detent point and not fragile at all. The whole thing feels solid, and the little suction cups on the bottom provide a very solid base of operations. I probably didn't need the food holding part since this can just be gravity fed, but I wanted consistency in the shape of the potato slices, so I used it. And had no issues at all. Two pounds of potatoes fit just fine in the small plastic catch bowl that is included. Cleanup was a breeze - the sliding part with the blade has two quick releases on the bottom and lifts right out for easy cleaning. Then the other part can just be rinsed off as well to get any small bits of slices that hung onto the plastic. Just a minute and cleanup was finished. I'm actually glad now that in a fit of kitchen cleaning and organizing, I threw out the part I needed for my previous one, since this one will be SO much better.

I have owned this for several years, now, and figured that I ought to let everyone know how wonderful this thing is. Honestly, my favorite use is French fries. I pop in a few potatoes, rinse, dry, and throw them in the fry pappy! Comparably….i think it’s a more health conscious option than processed and sold in a bag—all of my love goes into my homemade junk food! 😋 Easy-peasy! It’s easy to take everything apart to clean, especially if you do it right away. Just be smart and lower all of the blades and be careful when working with them. The device suctions to the counter, the feed is nice and big. The catch tray hooks right on without slipping around. I love the options for width of cutting. It really is one of my favorite kitchen toys! It seems to be really good quality. I take good care of it, but there isn’t much wear and tear.

This mandolin does some things well, but over sells it's range of options. This claims to support "diced/chopped" results. It sort of does, if you run the food through twice. It's not great for soft things, like tomatoes. It doesn't catch and juice or liquid, which just runs out the bottom. I bought it to make prep for pico de gallo easier, it is not as good for that kind of work as my old mandolin; the kind that really want to get your fingers. For firm things, slicing and julienne, it is quick. Clean up is is a little time consuming due to the numerous components, moving parts and small crevices. It is reasonably fool-proof for safety.

I didn't think that I would get nearly as much use out of this as I thought, but it's great to work with. It stays steady on your work surface and is easy to use. It's also easy to clean. It's very ergonomic in the way that it cuts, as well. I've always been a bit terrified of Mandolins because people cut themselves so easily on this, but you'd almost have to purposely stick your fingers in it and try to chop them off in order to cut yourself on this.
