Happy with product
You get what you pay for, replaced a $30 NatGeo one from Target, little one enjoyed it for what it was but wanted one that ran off electricity so we weren’t going through batteries. The quality is incomparable, but of course the caveat is at x4 the price it better be! The Nebula disk is the favorite that it came with, will be buying more disks at some point. Good focus, provides great clarity, completely fills the ceiling of a standard bedroom.

Amazing Projector and Great Value
I'm an experienced astrophotographer and these projectors do an excellent job displaying astro images. I ended up purchasing 4 of them along with nearly every astro disc I could find. Resolution is surprisingly good. Additional resolution from a DS-1 or Homestar Flux are overkill unless you have a large projection area and get close enough to notice added detail. The astrophotos themselves are arguably the limiting factor rather than the projector or discs. As for discs, the new "Webb Disc Set" is a must purchase ($49) - by far the best of their offerings. Next best would be the "Famous Nebula Set". After that I'd recommend purchasing the individual full moon disc for $15 (it seems to have better resolution and realism than the less than full moon disc that comes with the projector). Another disc to buy is the planet disc which has all of the planets on one disc. You also definitely need a milky way disc. I was able to purchase most of these on Amazon and the others can be found on LaView's website. You need to focus each time you change discs and the process is just like focusing a telescope. As for critiques, the green lasers add nothing of value to me. I will not be using them. I don't use the rotation feature other than to orient the image in the way I prefer. Improvements would be to have a disc wheel to be able to change discs without having to remove/insert new discs. Also a remote controlled motorized focusing mechanism would be ideal. A design that has 4 projectors on one unit would be awesome if the company wants to consider building something even cooler. Anyone who loves astronomy will find enjoyment and great value in this projector. I'd prefer 3 of these over one DS-1 ($600) any day. This is a fantastic product for a great price. Well done LaView!

Having The cosmos on your ceiling is quite beautiful.
Most of my life I live by the slogan, you get what you pay for. I have to say the packaging is very nice & sleek. Nice instruction manual and the box has a compartment for 4 discs & a remote. So if you want to travel with it, it’s very convenient. I was going to purchase a nebula projector which are cool but it just looks like a colorful ocean that cost around $50-$60. But for $120 The LaView projector are actual photos taken by nasa telescopes copied onto small discs. That’s what I wanted something that is really out there in the cosmos. The projector comes with 4 separate disc. 2 of them I love and 2 I never use. You can see why in the photos. The moon & earth are just not clear. I know there’s projectors out there that cost over 600. The big difference with those has to be the clarity of it. The LaView has a clear picture in the center of the whole projection but when you get to the rim of the photo they get blurry. I do want to purchase other disc in the future to rotate photos but I see reviews say there just as blurry as well. It’s not a deal breaker and still projects a lovely scenery that is soothing to look at. Definitely gives a cozy vibe. If this thing could shine during the day and when the tv is on I would keep it on all day. It’s like having art on your ceiling. But in order to get the best picture it has to be pitch black in the room. Even if the tv is on it takes away from the view. Yes I wish it was just a tad bit more clearer but I do not regret purchasing this. I love it and I do recommend this to everyone. I think everyone should have this. Kids, adults all across the board. It also doesn’t project a ton of light. Which is a major plus. Other projectors give off too much light, not really ideal when your trying to sleep. It’s also extremely silent. You can only hear it when you put your ear next to it. Besides that you don’t hear a thing. I would give it 5 stars but because of the photos being blurry I have to deduct one. Overall if your on the fence, just get it. The one thing left to figure out is the test of time. And I will like to see how other projectors in this price range compete.

Laser mode for the win
We turn on the "stars" for our little one every evening and it's a pretty magical experience. The nighttime routine of turning down the lights, together with a little mood music, provides a nice family bonding time on the transition from play to sleep. And unlike many toys, I can see us using this for many years to come. We bought 4 picture discs (moon, eagle nebula, milky way, and earth) but the images are just ok. The Eagle Nebula is probably the best one for the colors. Instead we mostly use the laser mode which is fantastic. The star field it produces has a varying pattern of dim vs bright stars that gives the illusion of a non-homogenous background. Add a little rotation and it's just relaxing to stare at. My only (minor) concerns so far have been the lack of focus and the weak remote control. Laser mode is very wide. If you place the project anywhere below shoulder height, you will get lasers in your face/eyes. We all lay on the floor and turn the projector on/off from there, but it's not super convenient. And since the remote control has to be pointed exactly at the receiver window on the projector, it requires shuffling around a bit to get the "stars" on/off. Overall though, a great buy and one of our most used items!

Not worth it
For $100, you get 4 tiny films that you’ll grow tired of in 4 minutes. My remote came NOT working, bad quality control! I tested the battery, it’s fine, also put a new battery in, but the remote is dead. And to open the battery slide you need to get a tight grip on it. It’s not easy! What a stupid design. So I downloaded the app, only to found out, all you can do is to add occasional shooting star( tiny), then to control the rotation, that about it. however, the brightness is a complete waste, there is no diff in brightness whatsoever. If you adjust the focus, you can get a really clear projection but they are just spinning, not sure how much excitement you can get and still enjoy it. Out of the four films, only the jellyfish one is decent design, the rest are just ok, the earth one is super hard to focus, the Milky Way is just boring… For $100, I expect this thing talk back to me and play some music! Not just go around and around… One star for nice quality overall, that’s about it IMHO. this is a return.

It's so/so for the price.
It's ok. But not for the price at all! It can point at a wall or ceiling fine however if you're pointing it at wall it will need to be proped up and pointing at exactly 90⁰ otherwise it really distorts the image. If you're wanting to point at a ceiling this will need to be in the middle of a room pointing srraight up. (Keep in mind fans and light fixtures) If you were to put it on a dresser or nightstand and point it at the celing at an angle it will blur the image really badly, ie: if you put in the earth slide for example it will be a drematic oval shape and break the immersion. The lense will focus as you twist it but is really sloppy and hard to tune just perfect for maximum clarity. It only has one lazer color. Green. It's cheap looking and on a grid and doesn't fit nicely in any of the theams. Lastly it does come with 4 slides. 2 are good and 2 are theamed for small children. I want to purchase more slides that are revlant to me but they are almost never in stock. I wish I had done more homework before buying this one at this price.

So very good projector
Great projector with a large projection area. I purchased white projector with 4 basic disks and then 4 more disks with famous Nebula. My son is into space, so we are turning it on every time before bed and he goes to sleep under this beautiful space photos. One huge plus - it's completely quiet when the rotation is on. I tried before a Sega Homestar and Omegon Star Theater Pro, but both have a smaller projection areas and noisy rotation mechanisms (not very loud, but in quite room and 1-2 meters from the bed it is very noticeable). Some pretty rare time you can notice a small jerks of the picture when the rotation is on - like skipping the gear teeth, just for a split second - not very noticeable though. We don't use a laser stars a lot, because we have a different projector with Aurora and stars. But the stars itself are very nice too, they also can rotate and have some shooting star feature. The stars just a little bit organized looking, compared to our another projector (it's spaceship looking aurora and stars projector). So I'm very pleased with my purchase and looking to buy more disks with nebulas/space photos - I wish they were not so expensive.

Not impressed!
So on the hunt for an item like this "planetarium style" projector I grabbed one of these to check it out. Let me start out by saying that from what I've seen these things are all very similar. That being said I liked the fact that this unit came with a remote...a HUGE PLUS (or so I thought). Tje remote stopped working with in the first 10 minutes...that being said without the remote i wasn't able to try out some features (YES, you read that correctly, some features and adjustments are only accessible via tye remote). I was testing this unit out along side of one of its counter parts the Orzorz. This unit is VERY DIM compared to the Orzorz. While the moon on the Orzorz is nice and vivid this units moon projection is dim and grayed. During the day time this unit is nearly impossible to see where the Orzorz is still clear. I did like the fact that you could control the speed of rotation with this unit, but again this function is only accessible via the remote🤦♂️. The slides look very similar...except the fact that their slides are encased in wierd disc that needs to be lock twisted into the slide tray making these unusable in other units. I also worry about over tightening or messing us the tray. The Orzorz slides just pop into the tray...you pull out the tray lift up the magnetic hinged lid, place down slide and close magnetic lid. Also the Orzorz slides CAN be used in other units. This unit HAS to be plugged in...where the Orzorz unit has a rechargeable battery and can be used while unplugged. Still on the hunt for a unit that checks all the boxes...that being said RETURNED!

Giving 3 stars bcuz the controls are for laser only.
The quality is good, the image is decent, but the controls are only for laser and rotation of Image, you can’t control anything else on the image (brightness). Besides that it’s OK, really silent, you can’t hear it and it has 3 levels of speed, at max you can’t hear it.
