This is my go to texture powder/ dry shampoo. I have fine flat hair and this product not only gives me the texture my hair needs but the volume too. On my second day unwashed hair I use this as a dry shampoo. I have been using this product for over a year pretty much everyday. Since it is a powder it can be a bit messy but it’s worth the results.

I have straight Asian hair and usually use a texture powder to achieve a somewhat controlled messy look based on a 2-block hairstyle. I ran out of my usual product and wanted to give some others a try. I found this one while reviewing some articles and YouTube videos so I bought it based on those recommendations. Unfortunately for me it didn't work out. I tested it probably for a week before having to return it. First I tried applying it to showered, blow-dried, dry hair. I put some on my hands and rubbed it together before applying to my hair. Had a little bit of hold but immediately went flat no matter how much I continued to apply. Second attempt, I applied it directly to my hair and rubbed it in that way. Still not much changed. Continued alternating methods throughout the week to no avail. Overall maybe this might be better for someone with thicker hair, but if you have straight thin hair, it will not work.

I have purchased other items from Shear Revival before, and they have all been fantastic. This is the first time that hasn't been the case. I'm not exactly sure who this powder is for. It has zero hold, and doesn't really add visible texture either. I guess the only nice thing I can say about it is that it smells nice? I always try to get Shear Revival products because I know the ingredients are good/safe and usually the quality is high. If you need any other hair products, check their stuff out, but this one specifically is a miss.

Not sure who this guy is who left a 1 star review. I've been using Shear Revival products for a couple years now, and I've used lots of other products throughout these same years. Slowly but surely, I continue to add more of their products into my routines, replacing others as I do so. Including this texture powder (swapped out in place of the Suavecito texture powder), I'm using the Northern Lights paste (only product that has compared is BluMann Cavalier Clay, but the Northern Lights paste has a better hold, less weight in the hair, and smells better), the shampoo (love that it comes in a refillable aluminum bottle, so it's more durable in case it falls, and yes you can get 3x refill bags to make it more cost effective), and the deep conditioning hair mask (using it 2x a week and man is it nice). This texture powder works great to provide that extra texture to your hair to make it thicker and look less weighed down and clumpy. On days where I use extra hair paste, whether it's because I will be out later than usual and want that extra hold, or I just used too much on accident, this powder will help to unclump the hair strands while simultaneously absorb any extra oils to make your hair look amazing and full. It also works great on days where you may be in a rush and choose to sacrifice a fresh morning shower. This will absorb the oils that accumulated the night before and make your hair look fresh again. I've tried the sea salt texture spray, it's alright. I'm in Michigan, not a lot of days around here where I feel like it's a great day for California-esque beach hair. Hope this helps.
