Recently left Sky due to extortionate price increases and originally got a dedicated freesat box to use with the Sky LNB as my TV did not support the LNB, but the freesat box was garbage and never functioned correctly. I looked at getting this unit multiple times and was debating whether to get installer out to do it, but decided on giving it a try and purchased this as could reach the dish on a pair of ladders. It was very easy to setup, looked at how the sky unit was setup and also checked map for setting. Hardest part was removing the old Sky LNB, but once off this fitted easily and went on perfectly. Connected cable to the old LNB ports and then performed scan and TV detected all channels available and unlike the freesat box that listed about 20 channels just for single channel everything was configured correctly. Overall extremely happy with purchase and ease of setup.

Purchased a 2nd hand Freesat box (an older Humax FOXSAT-HDR but it was as new and does what I need) and assumed I could just connect it up to my Sky dish. Turns out that is not the case if the dish was for Sky Q (Different type of LNB). After a bit of research I found this one. This one works a treat and is easy enough to install assuming you have tall enough ladders (and don't mind heights). Most difficult part of the installation (apart from needing to buy some ladders tall enough for me to be able to reach the dish) was removing the plastic retaining clip from the original Sky Q LNB. Once that was removed the swap over was easy and only took a couple of minutes. My advice, make sure you take up an 11mm spanner (to undo the LNB connectors) and some long nose pliers to get the old plastic retaining clip off. As soon as this was swapped over and the Freesat box was re-connected (ensure you disconnect the box before swapping over LNB's) it picked up loads of Freesat channels fine with no issue. Just be careful when installing and make sure its level (it has a built in spirit level) and its at the correct 'skew' angle (that was already preset on the one I bought for the UK). Very happy and loads of Freesat channels, and no expensive TV package subscription.

Very easy to fit, like others, took under 15 minutes including getting my ladders out. Worked straight away and more, better quality channels than freeview.
