Magnesium was recommended by my child’s doctor for bedtime to help them sleep more soundly through the night , the type that was prescribed were actual capsules, but they were giant gelcap pills that my six-year-old has no way of swallowing, I would absolutely struggle myself. These definitely help my children subtly calm down before bed. I have one child who is a deep thinker and has trouble turning off her brain. It's not a good sleep aid at all, but it does help relax kids. It's not immediate, it takes time. My 6 year old hates being around children his age and teenagers.
