I've never been much of a painter (although I do come from a fine arts background), but wanted to get into it a few years back. I bought a few tubes of oil paint and exactly one brush for some reason. I finished one (not very good) painting and shoved my supplies to the side. Anyway, during quarantine I tried to pick it up again and realized you really need more than one brush. Unfortunately, the art supply stores I usually go to were inaccessible and I decided that I might as well get something from Amazon and hope it doesn't fall apart. I just wanted a good variety, that wasn't too expensive, and would last for more than one painting. I was pleasantly surprised when I got these and not only did they fit the bill, they are really holding up. I tend to neglect cleaning my brushes or not thoroughly enough, but these are holding their shape really well in spite of the abuse. What's my point? These are fantastic for any beginner or hobbyist. No need to continue scouring reviews to see which ones you should get for your kid's newest hobby, these do well without breaking the bank. (I should note that when I got my set, it was pretty dusty and I was slightly concerned, but I think it was just because if you were from my area you probably wouldn't be buying brushes from Amazon.)

I love these brushes. I am hard on brushes. I have a lot of brushes. I like to go to art stores and buy them individually. These brushes are great. They don’t shed and they don’t come apart when you clean them. Even if you use a brush cleaner they hold up well. I am not sure about durability for more gentle users. They held up longer than other packs like this. They did start to get misshapen but I have a tendency to forget I left my brush in the water/paint/cleaner. For crafts these are excellent. Good selection. There are ones for making really fine strokes and ones for filling in. I use them on my painting to do details. Highly recommend

Brushes look great, but what a waste to have them packaged in a pretty case if you are an at-home artist. If you travel, great. Waste of resources otherwise

In my opinion if you’re going to buy any brushes you should learn how to care for them properly before you use them. These are very smooth and nice brushes. I’m a painter and I think these are amazing for their price. Go no further at michaels or whatever because these are perfectly fine. They’re not horse hair watercolor brushes. THEY COME WITH A NICE CARRYING CASE. If you wash them every time you use them like you’re supposed to do with brushes, they will be like brand new every time and will apply your acrylic better than most brushes With coarse hair. I don’t recommend cutting these because they’re nice. I love these.
