TV is actually very good, not perfect but no complaints for the money
Updated: fyi so impressed I also purchased a 50” for my front room. The uhd and hd sources from my virgin media box looks a lot better than it did on my older lg tv . I guess could be old hdmi standard of the lg tv. Also the virgin remote just worked with the tv, turning on the hdr also turns on the tv and changes source the hdmi input . Volume on vm remote also just worked. So again very impressed. I purchased the 55” version for my bedroom replacing an old 50” 1080p panasonic plasma (physical size of tv’s the same) this said I do also have a sharp, Samsung and LG TV’s all LCD back light TV. Understand OLED screens have better blacks etc but due to price and screen burn issues I will not entertain. So would call myself a TV buff but I own enough and I known what decent black levels and like a good HD / 4K picture. Where to start since I have own the TV around 3 weeks the TV has received at least 3 software updates which I am aware of. There was no apple play the first week and the interface I am sure was 720p I even plugged in a 4K fireTv stick which seemed to have better picture quality, I was temped to send it back but was on holiday for a week. However after firmware I gave it another chance and 100% keeping TV. I knew the issue was with the FireTV software as I plugged my laptop into the TV to confirm the 4K picture quality it was pin sharp (sorry no photos) so knew it was a good picture. FYI Apple Play is now working well over Wifi good / acceptable picture quality but only 1080p, youtube app running 4k and looks great. See the attached photos from an Iphone these are running via HD TV channels, 4k youtube and so called 4K from Netflix. First thing I check was the blacks being black (moving from plasma was a big issue for me) I have purchased a Hitachi TV before but I returned as the blacks were terrible more like dark brown. As you can see from the red paint splash ( which I believe the black light is highlighted more by my camera than the naked eye) but for led backlight is for me one of the better TV’s I have owned for blacks. next the viewing angle, i.e.looking from an angle which has been mentioned in other reviews, again seems good to me tried taking photos to show it is more than viewable. Also backlight very even when is turns on. One setting I hate on any TV is TrueMotion LG Naming, FireTV call it Action Smoothing this IMO needs to be turned to zero as per the green photo. Also lots of other picture settings to play with. One issue is you currently cannot set this across all AV / app/ TV inputs it needs to be set per cannel and per app, I am sure this will be fixed with an update. Note this is easily set by holding down the home button for 5 or so seconds a menu system popup on the right of the screen where all TV config can take place. This was not clear from the manual / instructions. TV guide is FreeView Play this for me feels like a bolt on to a fire stick then fully integrated, hence if buying for just freeview TV use then be warned the interface is a bit slow and non responsive. This app is available for my ipad and I am sure is an android direct port (however like apple play not natively available for fire stick) However I am sure/hope this will bit resolved with a future software update. eg see photo of who wants to be a millionaire the info took a while to load. As almost everything I watch it streamed this is not a big issue for me. Also sound is very impressive, just go to the sound setting navigate to the equaliser and turn up bass and treble. Great for youtube music In summery if you like Amazon FireStick interface then its a bit of a no brainer. Note remote is similar to fire stick quality i.e. cheap cheerful but very functional. I really like the numbers and longer length lets hope they sell spares. TV legs being plastic and not metal also a bit disappointing but I wall mounted mine. Please dont base your purchase on just this review, but I have been frustrated with lack of youtube and realworld reviews hence I posted this one. Hope it helps.

Great for the price
Decided to get this tele as I am a fan and a user of both Amazon and Xiaomi products, to replace my 9 year old TLC flatscreen that was nearing the end of its lifespan. The deciding factor for me was the price. I've bought the 50 inch version for 379 (currently on offer for the first week of release) and I must say I am very happy with it. I've been playing around with it all day and I'm very happy with the interface in general, the applications that are available (Can get Nord VPN which is useful for changing countries to view films not available in the UK). Originally I was a tad bit worried about only 2gb RAM but I've experienced no problems when opening various apps and testing them out. Everything appears to work smoothly. The quality of the 4k is brilliant. It's not the best by any means when compared to more expensive teles, but for the price I am overwhelmed with how good the quality is. Can't fault it at all. Using Alexa to control the tele is useful if you are feeling lazy and don't want to get up and find the remote. And the remote itself is fairly simple and effective. Feels good in the hand and the buttons are very responsive. What has surprised me is how good the sound quality is of the built in speakers. It can go very loud, I've yet to exceed 30%, and no need for external speakers lile my old tele. This is just an initial review based on the first day. I will edit within a few months of use when I have explore it's features more in depth. But for me at the moment I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Rubbish Brand - Never Again
Do not waste your hard earned money on this brand. I brought it and first there was an issue with the remote not connecting and working, and then the back light went haven't even had 2 years. Rubbish brand, stick to Samsung Toshiba and those other proper known brands.

Nice Picture
Took about 40 minutes for me to set up,most spent positioning aerial. I use a Samsung sound bar so I can’t comment on speakers. So far so good,I’ll update any future problems if they occur, but I’d say buy it while the offer lasts. Update 1 Started to get a bit glitchy after a couple of days.It decided to reset its screensaver to come on after 5 minutes-took me a while to figure it out. Changing channels it would go from 101 to 103 but would not settle on 102,same with all channels,it would miss out one as you change it-rebooted TV seemed to fix that one. Then decided to play sound only with no picture-rescanned channels several times to sort that out. If it kicks off again I'll send it back. Update 2 After a few weeks it’s working fine.If I have any complaints now it would be only the boot up time,my Samsung takes about 3 seconds to wake up and be able to change channels, this takes 20-30 seconds.Usual it would seem for tvs in this price range. Watch for unusual behaviour after updating it,if you have any problems then turn it off, pull the plug, press the on button, this will clear any cache problems and then plug in and restart, that should sort it out.

Good for the price but satellite reception issue / Returning for refund
55" screen, good HD and 4K pictures. Not the best terrestrial upscaling, looks out of focus but overall the tv is good value for the price. Sound from the internal speakers not the best but OK. One problem, I cannot get the tv to work with my satellite dish, I was using an old Panasonic plasma tv to get freesat with no problem. If I find a solution I will post it. Another point, the viewing angle is not great, at 45 deg from centre line the contrast and colours fade very quickly, at the 89 deg point you can only tell the tv is on. Update - 24.06.22 - I am returning tv for a refund, just not worth the money and inherantly flawed. This This does not perform to the listed specification
