Felt Desk Pad

I don't usually write reviews but I must say for the price I paid for this, the quality is really good. The material is soft but a little scratchy but that doesn't bother me personally. It works perfectly with my Logitech MX Master mouse with no lag / loss of connection. In regards to the packaging, it is very professional and once rolled out looks great on my desk. For those people who are stating it takes a while for the mat to be flat, please read the instructions as you can iron the mat safely and it removes any small creases that may be in it plus makes the mat perfectly flat right out the box. Overall it's a great desk mat for the price you're paying and thoroughly recommend it.

This arrived earlier than expected and it was rolled nicely into a strong cardboard tube so there were no nasty creases or folds once unpacked. The bottom of the mat has a nice grip on the desk and the top is very comfortable. It feels high quality. My only (very minor) complaint is that the edges of the mat aren't very smooth so if your bare forearms are resting across the edge, you can really feel the edge on your skin. I suspect the edges I come into regular contact with will soften over time so it doesn't bother me enough to take a star off my rating. On the whole, this is a great product and I'm really happy with it.

Very impressed on first looks. The packaging I'll just mention wasn't anything I've seen in other reviews images so I think the factory ran out of boxes lol, anyways, the mat itself feels really nice, again I saw other reviews saying it was a bit scratchy but I don't think so, it's fairly soft to the touch. It's gonna look really nice on my new setup, I'll add images later once it's all set up :) I'll also update my review if anything goes wrong with it I hope it lasts a while as it feels pretty quality, quite thick felt and covers a large area.

I'm chuffed with this desk pad. After my two-year-old decided to do a basnky on my grey plastic/PVC desk pad, which has served me well, I thought I'd treat myself to an upgrade—confused by those that mention itchiness and difficulty to unroll. I took it out of the protective packaging cardboard roll, reverse-rolled it several times and laid it flat on my desk with no problems. I also have sensitive skin and have no issues. I think people like to moan. :-) The pictures illustrate the item about 1 hour after unpacking. I honestly cannot fault this pad.

Purchased this particular item to see whether I got on with having one of these large pads before potentially investing in a pricier one. First impressions are pretty good. It turns up in a sturdy cardboard tube without much in the way of excess packaging. Upon uncurling it you immediately encounter what might be the two biggest problems. One, is that the ends are really quite curled from being in the tube. It has been on my desk for about a week now, most of the time weighed down with various heavy items and although it is better than when new, there is still a definite curl to the edging. I hope this is temporary and will continue to improve. The other is much more subjective and unfortunately not a temporary thing. The material is quite rough/scratchy. If you're thinking of that super smooth Alcantara you get on something like a Surface laptop, or even the inside of a tablet screen protector case, it's not that. It's more of a rough tweed jacket kind of thing, or even one of those very low-profile door mats. My mouse seems more than happy gliding across it and so far there have been no snagged threads. Oddly it is during typing I feel the most discomfort rather than waving the mouse around. The anti-slip works as it should and a quick test with water shows that spills shouldn't be feared. Ultimately whether or not this pad is for you comes down to how sensitive your skin is. I like the colour and the size, and it has convinced me that oversized, material-based pads are the way I want to go. But, in the time it has taken to write this review I have found that I've been subconsciously raising my wrists further and further from the pad to escape the feeling of it.

You want to show off and up your desk space. Then buy this beautiful desk mat. Though a word of warning, you might also need to invest in a debobbler as this mat with it's texture will bobble up quicker then a British person will complain about the weather. And once this happens you won't be so proud showing off your desk to your friends, colleagues and anyone else who happens to wonder by. However I now have two one for home and one for work. So no complaints from me.

This desk mat is nice and soft to the touch, does not move or slide around at all on the wooden desk and looks very nice! Came nicely presented in a box with a free small mouse pad as a little bonus! Would recommend :)

Like: appearance and effort to manufacture to a decent standard. Dislike: not soft enough and ‘grippers’ beer the mat make it bumpy all over so don’t use as a writing or drawing mat. Nylon felt went into bobbly areas where wrist rests quite quickly (a few days). I use my razor and jumper shaver on it to keep smooth. Would not buy again.
