Think Tank Photo Pixel Sunshade V2 for Laptop Computers

I work from home, and I like to work on my backyard deck during the warmer months in the Northeast. Unfortunately, last year we had to remove the tree that had provided shade for the deck. The loss of shade made it very difficult to work outside, as there is too much glare on my laptop's screen, even with a patio umbrella over the deck's table. At first, I went the cheapo-cheapo route by making a box out of black foam board which I bought for ten bucks. This didn't work out as well as I had hoped, as it didn't provide enough shade for the screen, and glare was still a problem. I decided to give the Pixel Sunscreen a whirl, and I'm really glad I did. When folded up, the Pixel Sunscreen is very compact - I can fit it the middle pocket of my laptop backpack, so I can take it anywhere I bring my laptop, a definite plus. Unfolded, it easily accommodates my ThinkPad 15.6" laptop. The side flaps make it easy to route the charging cable, should that be necessary. The hood is deep enough to remove virtually all the glare from the screen. I have sat for hours, from morning sun through noon time sun and into afternoon sun, without any issues with glare. With warm weather being at a premium where I live, I hated being stuck inside the house on beautiful spring and summer days. Now, that is no longer an issue - and my dog, who also prefers to be outdoors, has been the beneficiary of this as well. The Pixel Sunscreen is very well constructed, and I am sure that as long as I take good care of it, it will last many years. My one concern when ordering it was that it might be difficult to fold back up into a nice tight circle - but my concern was misplaced. It is very easy to fold it up into a compact package. There is even a pictorial folding guide on the bottom surface, including markers for thumb placement. Initially, I thought the asking price for the Pixel Sunscreen was a bit high, but after using it for some time, it has proven itself to be worth every cent. If you have need for a laptop sunscreen, for any type of work, I highly recommend this product.

This thing rocks. I've been shooting tethered on location since the late 90's (seriously!) and I have carted double monitors and generators out to Death Valley, granite quarries, sky scrapers and race tracks. All the while bringing a giant duvateen blanket with me to throw over my head so my client and I could see the image on a real screen. Once Apple had a laptop that was fast enough to replace a tower I switched and have never looked back. I've tried blankets, shades and a those stupid eye snorkel things and this is, hands down, the nicest thing you can put your laptop into. It has a "curtain" in a pocket on top that hangs down from the front and will completely block off the laptop from extraneous light. It has non slip sticky stuff so the laptop doesn't slide in it's little tent. It has openings on the side for drives and tether cords and pockets inside for gray cards and hard drives. It's very well thought out and fully worth the price. I never go on location without it.

I work from home and was looking for something to use outside. This works good at keeping the sun out but I have to put my head right in it sometimes to see. Still works for what I want it to. I've used it multiple times already. Glad to be able to get out of the "office" to get some fresh air and sunshine!

My laptop is 14 inches and only just fits. Can't imagine anything wider working with this product. Sturdy material and good quality. Blocks light pretty well. The opening for viewing is rather narrow and is kind of like those keypads at checkouts where you have to maneuver to see the whole screen.

I used this sunshade as part of a project testing GPS gear in the field in all sorts of weather. Over the past year I've tried three other sunshades on this project. The others ranged from partly successful to mostly useless. This one not only worked well, it had additional features that I found very useful: the velcro ports on the left and right to accommodate cables to other equipment, the additional rain cover, the clever markings telling you how to hold it to fold it up. It is large compared to the alternatives when unfolded - that turns out to be a plus - and it folds up relatively small into its own case with handles. Sure wish I'd come across this one a year ago.

This product is very useful outdoors when you need to have a good view of your laptop screen, as it shields it from the sun or other stray lights. It folds into a flat round package that stores neatly. It does take a few seconds to set up, so it's probably more useful when you're staying in one location for a while as opposed to a lot of run and gun shooting. I bought it for a 2-day project. I set it up for the first scene to shoot tethered. It worked fine but the whole setting up and taking down turned out to be too time consuming for the tight schedule we were on. A very nice product though. I own several other ThinkTank products and their design and quality are first rate, superior to other reputable manufacturers in my opinion.

I wanted to love this item but even after I tried multiple different variations of sun/shade, it simply doesn't allow for me to use my computer outside which was the whole point. Even in a shaded area, the computer screen is too dark and this overpriced item is now useless. I missed the return window by one week too so that's super cool. The pro is that it's easy to fold up and store... which is exactly what I'll be doing with it. So, maybe i can use it as a frisbee? Jury's still out on that one...

I received the sunshade in a timely matter after ordering. My rather large 17" laptop did not fit properly into the screen. I was unable to open my laptop fully. Even though my laptop didn't open fully I still took it outside for a test run and was unable to see my screen clearly. If I stuck my head into the sunshade it helped, but who wants to do that? I had no problems returning the item. I was disappointed that although I had to pay the shipping charges to return the item, that the company still deducted shipping charges from my credit.

I ordered to use while covering matches in daytime ., and I’m really happy with it. The quality is excellent and definitely worth the money. It protect ur laptops from sun and even if it is drizzling it will protect

Fácil de manipular, muy portátil (entra en una mochila), muchos bolsillos de rejilla en su interior, aperturas laterales para poder poner con facilidad cables o adaptadores, Pinza superior para poder pinzar papeles, tela negra para los días de mucho sol y poder cubrirte. Lo utilizo todas las semanas para shootings en exterior y sin tener que gastarte 400€ en una maleta rigida con protectores de sol. 100x100 recomendable

Fantastic product you can use this where ever on the beech by the side of the pool and can view the laptop without any glare whatsoever.
